Blade shows me the rest of the house, or at least the areas that he says I’m permitted to see. I mentally noted where the library is, the workout room, and the pool… I’ve never imagined vampires swimming, but I guess when you have an indoor pool where you aren’t affected by the sunlight, why not go for it?

I’ve enjoyed being around Blade more than I thought I would though. While his brother Luther made me uncomfortable last night, I found Blade’s presence to be… comforting. So, when Blade leads me back to my room I can’t help but be disappointed. And it makes me wonder… does he find me annoying? Why is he ready to be rid of me so quickly?

I don’t let these insecurities show though. I thank him for his time and for showing me around. He nods and tells me that until they say so, it is best for me to stay in my room. That he will tell me when it’s okay for me to leave it.

If it had been Luther or Adam commanding me, I think I would’ve felt annoyed by it. Like they think they own me
