It was finally the weekend after a long week of taking lessons and working with professor Julio about the project. Although we didn't make a breakthrough, the progress was comforting and I could see that sooner or later, we would be able to identify the cause of that black substance taking over the bodies of our kind.

The good thing about the long week was the fact that Valeria was back to the kingdom. At Least with her around, I didn't need to be so bored.

A knock sounded at the door before it was pushed open revealing a smirking Valeria.

" I can't believe you are still buried in those books. Don't you ever get tired?" Valeria asked, her smile turning into a frown.

" I am almost done here. I just need to sort out a few things. Actually, I can do this later." I replied, folding my research papers and keeping them in my drawer and locking it.
