chapter two

Gabriel layed on the cold floor of the alley,he was covered in his own blood. He tried to move his body but he couldn't.

A few moment ago he was driving on the highway oblivious of the cars following him,the next thing he heard was a car crashing into him then they started raining bullets on his car. He managed to crawl out of the car just in time but he wasn't lucky enough as he got shot on his hand.

There were multiple injury on his body from the car crash and he was bleeding from his head. He could feel his consciousness slipping through, he needed to get away from here cause they would come to finish what they started and it may take a while for his men to find him,but right now he couldn't even move a muscle.

Just as he was already losing hope he heard footsteps coming closer,the person seemed to have noticed him and stopped,just as the person was about to run he quickly called for help.

" Help...help me...please."

Kimmy was shocked to the amount of blood on the floor,the man layed in a pool of his own blood. She rushed forward to help him disregarding the small voice in her head that kept telling her to run. She bent to check his pulse, it was already weak. She needed to do something quickly.

" What happened to you... can you move?" Kimmy asked him,her hands trembling.

" Help me please... they're coming." The man answered with a weak voice.

" Who is coming...who did this to you?" She asked,her fear already increasing. Gabriel was getting frustrated at this girl but he needed her help at that moment.

" Just take me away from here... I'll explain everything to you later." He said with the last strength in him. Kimmy decided to stop asking questions and moved to lift him up.

His weight nearly dragged her to the floor.

She stumbled a few times before she was able to support him up. " Please you need to walk.. there's no way I'll be able to carry you." She said to him. He nodded his head weakly and began to take steps forward with Kimmy supporting half of his weight.

Luckily for her,her house was just few blocks ahead.

Kimmy was worried that the neighbors might see her with this man covered in blood so she decided to go through the back door. She dragged him through the kitchen floor down to the small sitting room, leaving a trail of blood behind. She propped him up on a chair and rushed to the bathroom to get a bowl of water and napkin to clean his wounds and the blood all over his face.

Kimmy had to remove his shirt in order to clean the wound,she was shocked by what she saw. his body was covered with a lot of tattoo drawings and the one that stood out the most was the tattoo of a dragon on his neck. She got back to clean his injuries and tied a piece of clothe on his arm to stop the bleeding from the gunshot.

After she was done with him,she moved to clean the trail of blood all over the house,she couldn't have anyone coming in to see this. All this while, Gabriel layed still with his eyes close. When she was done she came back to check on the man on her couch to see if he was still alive,she didn't want the stranger to die in her house.

" Hey... are you alive?" Kimmy asked as she pocked his face. Gabriel eyes flew open immediately catching her by surprise. There was something in his eyes that gave her an uneasy feeling,she quickly took a few steps back.

" Can you at least tell me who you are or give me a number so I can contact your people to come rescue you." She said, Kimmy already had a lot going on in her life and didn't want to be dragged into another mess. " Or should I call the police so they can....."

" Don't...my people will be here any moment from now." He said, cutting her off. Kimmy was taken aback by his words but she didn't question him any further. She just hoped he could get out of here as quick as possible. Just as she was wondering about the identity of the man she heard a knock on the door.

She was startled and didn't move to open the door, fearing that it was one her neighbours who had come to borrow something,or worse still the people who were after the man in her house. Cold sweat trickled down her back and her hands began to tremble. Gabriel looked at the girl that stood at the corner shaking.

" Open the door.... they're here for me." He said to her. Kimmy nearly jumped in fear,she was startled by his voice. She slowly moved to open the door. Two men stood at the door,each looking more intimidating than the other.

They walked into the house without sparing her a glance and went straight to the man on the chair.

"Boss."

" What took you so long to find me?" Gabriel asked with a cold voice.

" Sorry sir,we had to make sure we weren't followed down here." One of the men answered him. He moved to lift him up accompanied by the other man. Together they carried him out of the house. Just at they got to the entrance of the house. Gabriel turned and said.

" You'll be rewarded accordingly for your help today." Then he signalled to his men who carried him out.

Kimmy just stood on a spot trying to process everything that just unfolded. She could tell that man she rescued didn't seem to be any ordinary man just from his aura and the guys who came to carry him.

But she was glad he was out of her house now,she quickly rushed to prepare the food that had made her come home at the first place.

Little did she know that her whole world was about to turn upside down from this encounter.
