Bound to the devil's son:taming the mafia boss

Kimmy has always hated the hospital right from when she was a child. Now she sat on the cold hospital bench on the hallway staring at the emergency ward.

She could hear screams coming from down the hallway which further made her heartbeat increase. The smell of antiseptic and disinfectant wasn't helping matters as they made her feel nauseous.

Kimmy had just gotten back from work when the neighbors told her that her mother had been rushed to the hospital. She quickly ran there as soon as possible.

On getting to the hospital her mother had already been rushed to the emergency room leaving Kimmy with no choice than to sit outside and wait for her.

She could feel her heart racing,her Palm were already wet from sweat,fear was written all over her face. She had a bad feeling that things were not going to be easy as before.

Just as she was about to ask a nurse about her mother the doors of the emergency room flew open. The doctor came out while two nurses wheeled her mother away. She was about to follow the nurses to check on her mom when the doctor called her back.

" Kimmy Anderson... let's talk in my office."

The doctor said as he gestured for Kimmy to follow him. When they got to the office the doctor sat down and told Kimmy to sit which she did. He then brought out a paper from the file he brought in with him.

" Kimmy, this is the result of the scan we ran on your mother....the tumor on her brain is back and this time it has grown bigger." He said as he showed Kimmy the paper.

Kimmy's face fell when she heard the doctor's report,her worst nightmare had come to reality. With shaky voice she asked the doctor, " what are we going to do now?"

" As I have said before,the only way to permanently get rid of the tumor is to perform a surgery... and we have to do it as soon as possible because the tumor is spreading fast." The doctor said looking at Kimmy. He felt pity for her.

" And how much will the surgery cost doctor?" Kimmy asked the doctor.

" Actually we don't have the facility to carry out the operation so we have to transfer her to a private hospital. The cost of the surgery is twenty five thousand dollars,but with a down payment of ten thousand dollars they can begin the surgery." The doctor said.

Kimmy shut her eyes in pain . By the time she opened her eyes,they were already red.

" Where am I going to find that amount of money...I don't have anyone to run to "

Kimmy said while trying to hold back her tears. " Is there no other way for me doctor?" She asked.

The doctor shook his head and said, " I'm afraid not Kimmy,the only way your mother can survive is if we perform this surgery, and it has to be done in two weeks time in order to increase her chances of survival.... I'm sorry Kimmy." The doctor said trying to comfort her.

Kimmy walked out of the doctor's office feeling defeated. There was no way in this world for her to gather that amount of money in two weeks time. She rested her back on the wall of the hallway and slid down to the ground. She buried her head in-between her legs and cried.

Her mother was the only person she had left in this world and she didn't want to lose her. Her only source of income was from her job at the thrift shop that was barely enough to provide their basic necessities not to talk of her mother's medications.

Ever since the sudden disappearance of her father she had been left with the task of providing for the house as well as tending to her sick mother.

Kimmy went to the room,her mum layed on the bed looking pale. Severel tubes were attached to her body. This sight made Kimmy tear up again but she held herself at the last minute. She went to the bed and held her mother's hand,this made her to wake up.

Mara opened her eyes to look at her daughter Kimmy,she could see the tear stain on her cheeks and she felt bad for making her daughter go through all of this. She gathered all her strength to speak to her.

" What did the doctor say Kimmy?" Kimmy's mother, Mrs Anderson asked. Kimmy struggled to answer her question.

" He said you're going to be fine mum, it's nothing serious." Kimmy said. She didn't want her mother to know the whole truth so she wouldn't be worried,but her mum already knew that things weren't so simple.

" Tell me the truth Kimmy... don't worry I can handle the truth." She said looking straight at Kimmy.

" He said the tumor is back, and they need to perform the surgery as soon as possible....the surgery cost twenty five thousand dollars and we have to make a deposit of ten thousand dollars before they can proceed with the surgery." Kimmy said in one breath,tears streaming down her face,she couldn't hold back the tears any longer.

Mrs Anderson held her daughter's hand close to her, trying to comfort her. " It's all going to be fine Kimmy....you don't need to cry."

Kimmy wiped her tears and stood up," I need to go home to prepare something for you to eat.. I'll be right back mum." She said and left the room. When she got outside the hospital it was already dark. She decided to walk back home in order to clear her head and think of her next plan.

She had to pass through an alley on her way to the house. Kimmy didn't like passing through this alley,it always gave her an eerie feeling with the street light flickering occasionally.

Just as she was walking by she heard a sound. It was a groan, someone was there in the dark.

Fear rushed through her body. The first thought that came to her mind was to run,but when she heard the light groan again she couldn't help but walk up to the direction the sound came from. As she got closer and closer she saw blood trails.

She felt her back turn cold,the moaning grew louder now,so Kimmy mustered up all her courage and came closer to the source of the sound.

That was when she saw the man.

Blood.

There was blood everywhere.

The man was covered in blood. Kimmy turned back to run away but his voice stopped her.

" Help...help me... please..."
