I let her straddle me as thunder rolled outside in the distance.

I frowned, my eyes narrowing as the storm brewed.

What was his game? Why was he pretending like he didn’t remember me the way I remembered him?

His expression was stern, but he never wavered.

“Prom?” I huffed, “I was with Devin at prom. What about before that?”

“I don’t know. This is silly.”

“Do you remember Lindsey? Your first girlfriend?”

I leaned back and lowered my gaze.

“Henry...why can’t you remember me?”

“How is it nonsense when you have no recollection of me before prom?”

“Stop..” I waved a hand, now furious at myself for not remembering her—not like she wanted me to, “I...wait..what about the wedding with Alpha Ben and his Luna?”

“That was after prom,” she said, “Before prom. Anything before that, Henry.”

I scowled. I didn’t need this bullshit.

“I don’t know. It was a many moons ago.”

“We are barely old enough to be on our own now and you can’t remember right before prom?”

She stared at me, “Your mind’s been erased.”
