                               Living Agreement between Mr Miller & Miss Briggens

This Living Agreement (this “Agreement”) is made this 20 day of March, 2020 (the “Effective Date”), by and among/between the following roommates: Jet Miller and Shey Briggens (each a “Roommate” and collectively the “Roommates”).

1. PURPOSE

The Roommates are tenants at the premises located at 2473 Lexington Avenue, Lenox Hill, Manhattan, New York. [Premises address]

(the “Premises”) for a term beginning on 25 March, 2020 and continuing month-to-month until Miss Briggens Trial is over. 

The Premises are subject to a lease or rental agreement signed by Shey Briggens with Jet Miller, the homeowner, on ___________, 20___ (the “Lease”). Each Roommate acknowledges he/she has read the Lease and hereby agree to abide by the terms and conditions contained in the Lease, as well as any other rules of the landlord, and those in this Agreement and to abide by the responsibilities and obligations while living at the Premises.

2. RENT

No rent is charged, however Shey Briggens will be responsible for the purchasing of her personal hygiene products, make up, clothing and should she wish to have specific snacks.

3 . DAMAGES

Each Roommate is responsible for any damage to the Premises caused by him or her including his or her guests.

4. UTILITIES

No utilities will be required to be paid by Shey Briggens.

5. CONDITION AND MAINTENANCE

Each Roommate will keep his or her bedroom and bathroom as well as the Common Area, including the grounds (if applicable) and all appliances, fixtures and furnishings, in clean, sanitary and good condition and repair. 

Each Roommate will maintain the cleanliness and neatness of the Common Area and share in the responsibility of cleaning the Common Area. Apart from the days when the housekeeper is available (Monday, Wednesday and Fridays)

6. PETS

Pets are NOT permitted on the Premises. 

7. SMOKING 

Smoking is NOT permitted on the Premises. 

8. ALCOHOL 

Alcohol is permitted on the Premises with the exception that it will not be drank to excess. 

9. FIREARMS

Mr Miller has an existing firearm located on the premises, apart from this firearm there are no other firearms allowed on the premises.

10. PERSONAL PROPERTY

Each Roommate agrees to refrain from borrowing the personal property of any other Roommate without prior approval. Any borrowed property will be treated with care and returned to the owner in the same condition. If there is any damage to the property, the Roommate responsible for the damage will be held liable. 

11. QUIET HOURS

Each Roommate agrees to limit his or her noise and observe quiet hours for sleep, work, study, and other purposes.

12. GUESTS AND PARTIES

No guests apart from Nila Kosta will be allowed onto the premises. Prior consent must be asked for before the said guest may be allowed to come over.

No parties are to be held at Mr Miller’s apartment unless organised by Mr Miller himself.

Shey Briggens is to be accompanied by a bodyguard at all times when going out with Nila Kosta to a club/pub.

APPENDIX A

❧ Bruno Tatum is a threat to Shey Briggens life and in order to keep the threat at arms length she will need to stay with Jet Miller who can keep her safe.

❧ The move is not to take away any form of freedom, should Shey Briggens want to enjoy a night out with said friend Nila Kosta then she is welcome to do so with exceptions above.

❧ Shey Briggens will be living with Jet Miller for the duration of said trial until it is over.

❧ All rooms are up for debate including Jet Miller’s master bedroom with an exception. Should Mr Miller’s room be chosen, he will not move out but will share the room with said Miss Briggens.

❧ All personal belongings of Miss Briggens will be moved to Mr Miller’s apartment once both parties have signed the contract.

❧ Should Miss Briggens want to change the look of the decor, she is allowed to do so with reason.

APPENDIX B

❧ Miss Briggens will be allowed to see family and friends but will be accompanied by a bodyguard at all times.

❧ Mr Miller will be responsible for driving Miss Briggens to and from work every single day unless Mr Miller cannot attend, in this case other alternatives will be made.

❧ Nila Kosta is the only friend who may be allowed to visit Mr Miller’s apartment.

❧ No take out and/or online shopping orders will be delivered to Mr Miller’s apartment without Mr Miller’s consent.

❧ Mr Miller does not appreciate anyone being invited into his home be it for a one night stand or a permanent fixture. All relationships are to be put on hold until after the trial.

❧ Mr Miller does not partake in any relationship of the sort.

APPENDIX C

Miss Briggens shall not become a personal cook, maid or any of the sort to Mr Miller. The relationship should be kept at a professional level between the two parties at all times.

Should any of the two parties be found to be in an intimate relationship the court would have to find Miss Briggens a new representative.

Miss Briggens is expected to keep herself healthy during the time at Mr Miller’s apartment. Depending on how long the trial takes, Miss Briggens is required to do a monthly doctors check up to make sure everything is fine.

Miss Briggens will also be required to see a therapist once a week to make sure that the trial does not go against her.

The therapist will be able to give insight on how the victim is feeling.

Should Miss Briggens choose another room besides the one of Mr Miller’s she is required to make sure that Mr Miller’s private room is kept private.

Miss Briggens is allowed to roam the grounds, should she feel the need to.

The pool and any other leisure items available may be used at any time.

I read through the contract set infront of me, what the fuck have you gotten yourself into Shey? I ask myself.

None of what is said here is anything i discussed in the meeting, that sly mother fucker.

I grab the contract and make my way into Jet’s office, slamming the door. I sit down in front of Jet as I wait for him to finish his call. “I’ll call you back in ten.”

“Just because you could be living with me doesn't mean you can leave your manners there too!” Jet snaps at me but I just furrow my brows.

“I can choose your room but you'll be required to sleep in it with me?! I can go out with Nila but with a fucken bodyguard?! I'm expected to go to a doctor for a check up every month and a fucken therapist every fucken week!” I yell but Jet just sits down.

We sit in silence as I stare at Jet, “Fine Jet! If that's what you want then fucken game on! This is all just a joke to you! I just need you to be my boss and lawyer, nothing else.” 

“Are you done yet?” Jet asks as he sits forward in his chair and holds his hands out in front of him. I say nothing which allows him to say his say.

He nods his head, “This is not the first time i've played Mr ‘public protector’ Shey. That is an old contract which has been changed to your name, that is all.”

I shake my head as I get up and walk towards the door, “Got it, I'll sign it.” I exit his office and make my way towards my office where I sign the contract.

The following day some people came to fetch my belongings from Nila’s apartment, taking me to Jet’s. He lives on the other side of the Upper East Side.

We arrive at Jet’s apartment in no time, my face falls to the floor as I see the apartment he lives in, “Come on Miss, we still need to climb the elevator to the fourth floor.”

The driver says as he walks in front of me with some of my bags.

I walk into the elevator as I am taken to the fourth floor, the soft elevator music playing in the background as we await the bing for the door to open.

My face is shocked as the elevator door opens onto his lobby, he has a wall waterfall in the centre of the entrance with  water lilies and other flowers scattered around the base.

We walk into his entertainment area where there is a big book shelf from the floor to the ceiling, the right side of the wall is just windows as it looks out into the city.

A TV mounted to the wall with reclining black leather chairs in front of it.

We walk upstairs to where the bedrooms are situated and I'm forced to choose between the one on the end of the hallway or the one which has a balcony with a view.

I finally chose the one with the balcony, it has dark grey and black colours. The bed has black satin sheets with a grey plush carpet.

Its bathroom is open with the shower being situated to the left of the bed, the walk in cupboard having a door which leads you behind the bed and the windows to the city in front of the bed.

I help the driver with my personal belongings before I thank him and get my stuff packed away, as I finish I take a shower and decide to make myself a cup of tea and grab a book to read.

I settle on a book about Hybrids and cuddle up on the balcony outside my room where i read until my heart's content.

I put the book down as I get up and look out to the city, the view calming my nerves and the breeze taking away every worry of mine with every wipe of my hair.

“I see you've settled in quite well?” I hear Jet’s voice behind me and I let out a scream.

Jet lets out a laugh as he walks towards me, “I didn't mean to scare you, i know how i thought you can be when you look out to the view.”

I shake my head as I gather my thoughts, “I know this is never easy so thank you for taking me in Jet.” I give Jet a small smile as I walk into my room.

“Just because you are living here doesn't mean you get special treatment at work now Shey, i am still your boss during working hours but a friend, should you choose to call me one, during the evening.” I let out a giggle before I solved Jet.

“Yes sir, anything you say sir.”
