Crystina’s POV“I heard the Alpha is back,” A voice whispered and I turned, suddenly at alert as fear suddenly descended on me.“There she goes, weirdo” A male voice quietly mocked from behind me as I stood in the hallways of Moonvalley high school. Crystina’s POV“Let’s go downstairs for dinner,” He stretched his hand out at me, I stared at his large palm for a few seconds before I shook my head.“No, thank you. I’m not really hungry,” I replied. That was a lie, I was famished. I wasn’t even able to eat lunch because of the news I heard at the cafeteria but I would rather fast than eat dinner with him.I can’t believe I let him hug me like that before moving away. CRYSTINA ’S POVAlpha Luka didn’t say a word and neither did I. We were both staring at each other waiting for the other person to say something. Luka stared at me expectantly, his eyes narrowed as he scrutinized me. One hand was on the wheel while the other was on the passenger seat next to him. It was as if he was waiting for me to enter and take a seat. I knew better than to do that. Luka would never want me to enter his car. LUKA’S POVThe principal in charge of our Pack’s high school invited me to the school that morning because of the donation that I had made. We met the previous afternoon when I made the payment to the school’s account but I was surprised when she called me again to ask me to pay a visit to the school because she wanted to give me a tour of the school. I felt it wasn’t necessary but as the Alpha, I couldn’t say no. I haven’t been around for years so the school will be the best place to start so I can get accustomed and know what’s going on around the pack. When I woke up, I was actually hoping to drive together with Crystina to the school but before I came out of the room, she had left. I didn’t lose hope knowing fully well that I might be lucky enough to meet her on the way since Mary said she left s few minutes before I came out. Crystina’s POV After school hours, I had to wait for Nico in front of the school gate to return his scarf to him. I know Nico adores me but still, I don’t think his mom would like the idea that he gave that expensive scarf away. I could’ve returned it to him during school hours but we had different classes and he told me during lunch to return the scarf to him after school hours. Getting impatient, I checked my old, worn-out wristwatch again and realized he was taking too long. If only I had a phone, I would’ve called him to tell him to hurry up. “Hey Crystina,” Paige called from a distance and waved at me before running towards me. “What’s wrong? Why are you running?” I asked her. We hadn’t planned on going home together today, what’s with the hurry? “Sorry I came late. I met Nico after lunch and he told me to give you this,” She gave me a small bottle of medicine. “He said it’s for your fever,” Though I didn’t think I have a fever, I still couldn’t help the smile that crept on

LUKA’S POV All I had towards Crystina were good intentions, I didn’t plan on making her cry or sad but when I saw her holding that bottle, something shifted in me that I didn’t like. I tried to control it until we were in a closed space and I could smell that boy all over her. That drove me insane. Why was he giving her a bottle of medicine anyways? She wasn’t even sick. That boy must be trying so hard to make me look bad and I hate that. When I drove out of the school, I had only planned to pick her up and take her home but when I saw her waiting outside of the school gate and checking her wristwatch, I knew something was up.
