Caitlyn stayed in the office even after all the workers had closed for the day and went home. Lawyer Bernard didn't return to the firm. The meeting didn't go well, so he had gone straight home afterward.

Caitlyn didn't feel like leaving. She was hungry and exhausted from the day's work, but she preferred to make her hands and mind busy until night fell before going home.

She concluded that she would be more than tired by the time she arrived at her house, that way, she would eat and go straight to sleep.
