Chapter 25Caitlyn stayed in the office even after all the workers had closed for the day and went home. Lawyer Bernard didn't return to the firm. The meeting didn't go well, so he had gone straight home afterward. Caitlyn didn't feel like leaving. She was hungry and exhausted from the day's work, but she preferred to make her hands and mind busy until night fell before going home. Chapter 27It was a Saturday, and Caitlyn was at home. Bored and too lazy to cook, she lay curled up on her bed and shut her eyes.It was one of those days she wished she was at work.
