Chapter 30

The sound of the calming waves exchanging words the wind filled Autumn's ears as the waves crawl gently to the shore as its cold touch caresses her bare feet, causing a smile to appear on her lips. She always loved to come to the beach since it always manages to help her forget all her daily struggles and insecurities. It was like her haven, a place to run away to and feel safe. Autumn was a bit confused when Nico suddenly showed up at Rose's apartment, demanding her to get ready before he drove her to the beach. 

On their way, Nico had refused to tell Autumn what was happening every time she had asked until she grew tired and just remained silent for the rest of the ride. As Nico arrived at the beach, he helped Autumn out of the car before guiding her onto the sand. Once again, Autumn asked him what was going on, but he still refused to tell him anything.
