LOGINAya Reyes, a smart, resilient and capable woman who was a believer in love. After all, mas madaling paniwalaan ang mga pangakong nanggaling mismo sa taong mahal mo, sa taong pinaniwala ka na you are capable of receiving love, who made you the center of his universe, and the same man who promised to walk you down the aisle. And Aya believed him. Until he disappeared. No explanation. No goodbye. Just ache and promises that never came true. For five years, naghintay si Aya. She held on to memories, making excuses, and the fragile hope that maybe one day, babalik sya. Pero hindi siya bumalik. Hindi siya nagparamdam. So she did the only thing she knew to survive: she moved on. New city. New job. New life. Day by day, she did everything para unti-unting buuin ang sarili nya at mamuhay sa mundong wala na si Adrian. Pero mapaglaro ang tadhana. Sa pagdaan ng araw na pilit kinakalimutan ni Aya si Adrian, he started introducing himself to the word. Adrian Vale is a powerful bachelor and now the CEO of Vale Group–rich, brilliant, and one of the most eligible bachelors in the country. The next time Aya saw him again, they weren’t lovers anymore. And this time, Adrian doesn't remember her. After a mysterious accident five years ago, Adrian Vale lost all of his memories, kasama na ang babaeng pinakamamahal nya at ang pangako nila sa isa’t isa. Now, as fate slowly pulls them into each other’s lives again, Aya needs to come with a decision. Should she tell him who she was or let him live his life and lose him again?

There are some faces you never expected to see again, not because you wanted to forget them but because remembering their name brings an ache no words can possibly explain.
Some memories turn to scars. Tahimik lang sila, minsan invisible, until something–someone triggers them. And then marerealize mo na masakit na pala. Masakit pa rin pala.
Bad news, time does not heal all wounds. We simply learn how to live around them. We pretend to be okay. We convince ourselves that the past is already buried somewhere far away from our present. We just pretend to be okay hanggang sa wala na tayong maramdaman.
Or at least, that’s what I used to believe.
The conference room seemed colder than our usual morning. The air-conditioning hummed softly above us, yet there was a strange tension lingering in the room that made the atmosphere feel heavier than it should have been.
Hindi ko rin alam bakit ako kinakabahan. I adjusted the sleeve of my blaze and tried to focus on the presentation slides na pinepresent sa unahan. Monday strategy meetings. Department Heads. Senior Manager. The usual corporate battlefield. Ayun nga lang, today, with the new CEO.
“Relax,” bulong ni Dani habang bahagya nya akong siniko. “Di naman raw nangangat yung bagong CEO. Nansisindak lang.” Patawang biro nya.
I rolled my eyes on her, “Shh. Di naman nababawasan ang kaba ko. Ako na sunod na magprepresent oh. Baka abutin nya pa ako.”
“Edi mas maganda! First impression agad, ganon!” wika niya pero halatang kinakabahan rin.
The presentation of the other team ended the moment footsteps echoed in the room. Napabuntong hininga ako. “Kapag minamalas nga naman oh.” Bulong ko sa sarili.
The new CEO entered the room.
The company has been buzzing for weeks when they heard the Mr. Vale retired from his position. Ang sabi-sabi anak nya ang papalit. Galing daw ibang bansa. Matalino. Makisig. Medyo masungit.
Someone from the HR stood near the entrance at the back. Chairs straightened. Conversation died instantly. All eyes fixated on him.
And then, I heard his voice—the one I have been looking for all these years.
“Good morning.”
Two simple words.
My entire body automatically froze. My heart stopped. And before I knew it, I was back to square one. It took only two simple words for all my efforts to regain myself again shattered in front of me.
It can’t be.
Slowly, I looked up. I don't know what to feel. Am I mad? Angry? Longing?
The man who once promised me a lifetime of commitment and the man who disappeared without a single word–he stood at the front of the room. Tall, composed, dressed in a dark-tailored suit that cost more than my monthly salary. His posture was confident, his expression was calm, almost unreadable. But it was his face that made me lose my breath.
Adrian Vale.
Mr. Vale.
Napailing na lang ako. Hindi ako makapaniwala. Their last names were the same. This had to be some kind of cruel joke.
Adrian shifted his gaze around the room, acknowledging the executives one by one–until it reached me. For a brief moment, our eyes met. My chest tightened. Every memory I tried so hard to bury came rushing back at once.
Late night talks. Rainy walks. His laughter. Our banters and ridiculous plans. All at once.
My heart pounded painfully as I waited for him to look at me. Any moment he would recognize me. Any second–
But nothing changed in his expression. Para akong binuhusan ng malamig na tubig. He gazed at me the way he looked at everyone else. Like I was nothing more than another employee in the world. Professional. Distant. Polite.
And then, it hits me. He doesn’t remember me.
“Let’s begin,” Adrian said calmly as he took his seat at the head of the table. Hindi ko maiwasang matulala at mabigla. Because the man sitting in front of me–the powerful CEO everyone seemed intimidated by was the same man who once held my hand.
I know had to keep going, kahit sa hanggang sa maitawid ko lang ang meeting na ito. I tried my best to compose myself. I can cry, scream, or be mad. Pero hindi dito. Not in front of everyone, especially him.
“Aya. Namumutla ka. Ayos ka lang ba?” Everything went by like a blur.
The meeting eventually ended. We were about to leave the conference room when I heard Adrian speak. “Miss Reyes?” Napahinto ako. For a moment, akala ko imagination ko lang, but everyone around me stopped and looked at me.
Adrian Vale looked straight at me. His brow furrowed slightly as if he was trying to remember something while studying my face carefully.
“Have we met before?” Tanong nya. I am really a stranger now. But what made him forget me at all?
The room suddenly felt smaller. I could feel everyone staring, waiting for my answer. Five years ago, I spent countless nights wondering why he left, why he disappeared, and didn’t say goodbye. I spent years searching for him. I ached for him every night. I grieved for what I had lost.
I could have easily said yes. I could have said that we were lovers. That we carried a history. But I could not answer. My mouth feels dry.
Because, five years ago…he asked me the very same question. Back then, it felt like the beginning of our story.
And now, it feels like the beginning of the end.
Adrian’s POVFor a moment, hindi ako nakapagsalita. My mother’s car.The words echoed in my head like a gunshot.“Marco…” I said slowly, trying to keep my voice steady. “Tell me you’re not serious.”“I wish I wasn’t,” he replied quietly. “Pero malinaw sa CCTV. Same plate number.”My chest tightened.“No,” I muttered under my breath. “Hindi siya pupunta dito para lang sundan si Aya.”Marco didn’t answer immediately.“Adrian,” he said carefully, “after everything we just found out about your mom… are you really sure about that?”I clenched my jaw.No.I wasn’t sure about anything anymore. I walked out of the terminal slowly, my mind racing. My mother knew. She knew Aya might leave. And if Aya disappeared—My stomach twisted.“Marco,” I said sharply. “Send me the CCTV footage.”“I’m already forwarding it.”My phone vibrated seconds later. I immediately opened the video. The screen showed the bus terminal entrance.Aya appeared in the frame. My chest tightened instantly. She looked small
Adrian’s POV“She’s gone.”For a moment, hindi agad nag-register sa utak ko ang sinabi ni Marco. The words echoed in my head like a hollow sound inside an empty room.“Anong ibig mong sabihin na gone?” tanong ko agad, my voice low but tense.May saglit na katahimikan sa kabilang linya.“Danielle said Aya didn’t show up at work today,” Marco continued. “Tinanggal niya na lahat ng gamit niya kagabi. She submitted her resignation.”My heart dropped.“What?” I breathed.“I’m serious,” Marco said. “Walang notice. Walang explanation. She just… left.”My grip tightened around the phone. A cold feeling crept up my spine.“She wouldn’t do that,” agad kong sagot. “Hindi siya aalis nang walang dahilan.”Marco sighed softly. “Adrian… after everything that happened between you two that night, are you really surprised?”Parang may kumurot sa dibdib ko.That night.Aya’s trembling voice. The hurt in her eyes.“You don’t trust me.”My chest tightened painfully.“I need you to find her,” sabi ko agad
Adrian’s POV “From making the same mistake twice.” The pain in my head intensified again.A new memory forced its way through.Rain pouring.A voice shouting.Isabelle.“You’re mine!”My breathing quickened.“You manipulated everything,” I said slowly. “The accident report. The police. The hospital.”Hindi man lang nag-deny si Mama. Instead, she tilted her head slightly.“And if I did?”My chest tightened. “So, inaamin mo?”“I admit,” she said calmly, “that I did what was necessary to protect this family.”“By almost killing me?”Nagflash ang galit sa mga mata niya. “You weren’t supposed to get hurt.”Nagflash ang galit sa mga mata niya. “So it was intentional.”“It was supposed to be controlled.”The hallway felt colder.“Controlled?”ulit ko.“Yes,” she replied. “A warning.”“A warning for what?”Her gaze locked onto mine.“For falling in love with the wrong person.”Parang may sumuntok sa dibdib ko.Aya.My grip tightened against th
Adrian’s POV“Something wasn’t right.” The thought had been circling my mind since Marco showed me the documents. My mother. The bank transfer. The altered police report. How could a mother do that to his own child? It didn’t make sense—but at the same time, it explained too much. I leaned back in my chair and stared at the folder on my desk. The papers inside felt heavier than they should. “The driver was Aya’s father.” Marco’s voice echoed in my head.My jaw tightened. And Aya knew–at least part of it. Which meant one thing. She wasn’t hiding the truth to protect herself. She was hiding it to protect someone else.My fingers slowly curled into fists. “Damn it,” I muttered.I stood up abruptly and grabbed my coat. If there was one person who could confirm everything—it was my mother. The house was quiet when I arrived. The lights were on, but the atmosphere felt strangely tense.I stepped inside slowly.“Mom?” I called. No answer.I walked deeper into the house hanggang sa may narin
Adrian's POV“…why are you pretending you don’t know me?”Tahimik. Nakakarindi ang katahimikan. Aya didn’t answer. It was firm and controlled.Hindi ako lumingon.“Let go of her.”Napatingi
He was becoming unprofessional sa ginagawa niya sa akin ngunit a part of me understood kung bakit parang desperado na siyang masagot ang mga tanong niya. His gaze kept on switching between me and his phone, parang binuhusan ng malamig na tubig sa hi
Aya’s POVThe elevator door closed in front of me.And the moment they did, my legs finally gave up. That word kept echoing in my mind. I squeezed
Aya’s POV“Why do I remember asking you to marry me?”The words echoed inside my head like a loud bomb dropped all of a sudden. For a moment, I forget how to breathe. If I will be really honest, nasasaktan ako habang tinitingnan siyang desperadong malaman ang sagot sa mga tanong nya. And it hurts
