Chapter 20

Kiara and I made out after she agreed to be my girlfriend, which turned into more sex. We finally decided to go take a shower and then went over to her place so that she could change.

I was waiting downstairs for her when Mr Van Kline walked into the room. He seemed surprised to see me but happy that I was there.

"Uh, Jason! Come have a drink with me, my boy." He beamed and I couldn't say no. So I followed him toward his study and sat down by the desk as he poured us each a glass of whiskey.

"How are you?" He asked as he lit a cigar and puffed smoke into the air.

"I'm good, sir." I smiled and remembered that Kiara was now my girlfriend. I wondered if I should have asked her father beforehand or tell him now.

"I'm glad. My daughter seemed a lot happier since she met you, which makes me happy."

"We are dating, sir." I quickly added.

"Oh, well I assumed so." Mr Van Kline nodded and smiled at me. He approved. I felt so relieved that he was happy for us and I knew Kiara would be gra
