CHOSAN: Alpha's Destined Slave

Chosan's POV

The fierce wind went along with the thick screams coming from that room where several women gathered around a woman, sweating and panting profusely. 

Up in the sky, the full moon sat casually. Nine, tiny, fluffy, white clouds cut out from several others, hanging away from the moon; the nine clouds enveloped the full moon.

Just nine. That was what I was told.

From that very moment, my first cry sprang out, born alone without a brother nor a sister; just like the humans call it. 

My name became 'Chosen'.

Chosan.

The Chosen One.

Yes, that was my name. 'The Chosen One' in Holy Bond pack.

The chosen one with a different destiny. One who isn't blessed to have wealth and all the good stuff that life offers, but to serve as a slave to the ruling Alpha after my first shift. 

To lay down her shewolf life to the Alpha. Destined as his slave. And I was going to be given to the next Alpha who was already six centuries old.

To get used. 

To get him satisfied in bed and every other dirty stuff one could ever imagine, until it's time to… time to be killed.

Time to die…

A real death.

The thought made me shudder violently as the things about the previous Chosans who were sacrificed to our goddess, struck my mind. I felt my body tingle.

While the clock ticked, there was one thing I could do. To pour out my pain. So I fell into writing, communicating my feelings through my very own pen.

I write this with thick pain spreading across the walls of my heart as I count every second I would be called to get slaughtered like an actual animal, just to increase the fertility of the land, and make the general Alpha, prosper more abundantly…

This is my journey. From me, Chosan, the Alpha's Destined Slave, to you whom I cry to for prayers until I'm ripe to be plucked. And chopped.

"Come out from your hiding, now, Chosan! Your Momma will get mad at me for not taking good care of you, you know..!"

Hiding in one of my favourite spots, I could hear my nanny screaming my name. I poked my finger through a nylon plastered to a sturdy plank wall, then peered through its tiny hole. My little hand was pressed against my mouth to kill the deadly laughter trying to burst out of there.

"Chosan…? The eye of Holy Bond pack. Come out now so you won't be stained before you meet your Alpha! Chosan, my sweet, little love!"

That frustration from my nanny's lips spread like wildfire across the whole place. She went back and forth, pulling at her hair.

My soft giggles lightened my heart as I watched her dance around helplessly.

"Chosan! Alpha's treasure! Come on out now!"

With such extreme love and showers of praises from my nanny and everyone at Holy Bond pack, receiving gifts upon gifts, one could actually believe that I'm the little Luna of the pack; a mate to be bonded with the Alpha when she comes of age. 

That is, after my very first shift, the knot would be tied.

Inside that dark storage house filled with sacks upon sacks of wheat and corn grains, my little body rolled off one heavy sack, tumbling down with a sharp thud. I felt the bone shift in my knee. Gritting my teeth as I struggled to sit up, my eyes fell on a sack dangling on the roof. Sweat drenched my body and my eyes widened in horror as they fearfully followed the dancing sack hung with the rusty chains.

"Lana!" With all my strength, I screamed my lungs almost out.

No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't move my body. My heart was almost jumping off my chest through my slacked jaw.

"Chosan! Oh goodness me!"

"I'm in here, Lana! My legs hurt! The left one hurts even more!"

"You've killed me, Chosan! The gods! Oh, Chosan has killed me!"

The sound of Lana's trembling voice cracked my little heart. I could feel her fear filling my ear while I remained still on the ground, just staring at the sack swinging right above me.

"Chosan!"
