The sounds of birds woke me up. Slowly, my eyes peeled open and I stared at the curtains for 10 seconds before looking behind me to see an empty bed. Micah was gone. He left with the calmness he gifted me last night. A sort of loneliness filled me again. A knock sounded on the door and with a heavy sigh, I got out of bed and opened the door.

"It's time!" Guela happily announced. She was standing in-between Luzo and Willa with multiple dresses in their hands. "Time for what?" I asked, my mood grumpy and my eyes heavy. "Time to get ready, silly. We only have 10 hours before the gala starts." Guela tutted, pushing me into the room. I froze upon seeing about 20 guards in the hallway instead of just Aemun. "What is going on?" I asked Aemun, who looked at me apologetically. "King's orders." He stated with a firm voice, but his eyes were soft.
