Chapter 9

    Diane's POV

The murderous loud noise of devices ringing  jolt me out of my deep sleep, I stretch a hand to stop the alarm clock before picking up my also ringing phone.

I had slept late last night, that is why I set an alarm. I usually don't need to use it because my body was once used to waking early but after staying home for almost a month I had to go back to using an alarm unless I would be late for work.

Yeah! I'm working again.

"What is it?" I said into the phone, the words came out slurred and raspy.
