The pasta was perfect. It wasn’t too soft in the mouth and it wasn’t hard either. It was the perfect texture, melting in her mouth like cheese under the hot sun. Perfectly.

Lucas had taken her on many dates but he never paid attention to her like Nathan was doing at the moment.

“Are you enjoying your meal?” She asked him despite her attempt to hold herself back. The need to hear him talk even if it was over something so vain as their meal overrode her senses.

Nathan considered the pasta he was chewing momentarily before answering. “It’s actually not bad. I’ll have to admit that you made a good choice, I can guarantee you I would have chosen something so vile you would have thrown up at first bite if you had left the choice up to me.”
