Chapter Fifteen
Brooklyn was full of questions bubbling inside her but she had no answers to them. Why did Mr. Ardolf not inform the police about the money that Brandon had taken? Why was he being so kind to her? She was his prisoner, after all! Why did he care whether she ate or not? She remembered the way he caught her hand and led her into the office as if he sensed how she was feeling.
