Massacre

After a while inside the cargo ship, Erlyn Gristin heard panicked voices from the crew members.

"There's news from the mainland that the Alpha will sink the ship if we don't find the girl!"

Erlyn's eyes widened, and she was overwhelmed with panic. She curled up in an empty box, covering herself with some greens.

"There's no way he'd do that. We'll be short of many ships if we sink them!"

"The Alpha has plenty of gold pieces and human banknotes; he can easily acquire new ships, you idiot!"

Then someone arrived and shouted at the workers who were dealing with their hangovers.

"Search all the boxes and barrels! Cover all sides; we must find the girl before we're attacked by the battleships!"

It was at this point that Erlyn's panic and disorientation intensified, causing sweat to pour down her forehead and body. She trembled inside the box.

"Aye aye, captain!"

The crew's cheers echoed, and they commenced the search. Barrels were emptied and spilled onto the ship's floor. Even some beer bottles were broken in the process.

"Hey, guys, be careful. Don't damage our sacks of treasure!"

"It broke accidentally, calm down, man."

"Come on, accidental? It was clearly intentional."

Two tattooed men with imposing builds clashed, disrupting the peace on board.

"What are you saying?"

"Just something unintentional!"

"Are you mocking me?" One man stepped forward and shoved the other.

"Nothing's wrong; why are you so touchy?"

"Touchy?"

"Hey, what's happening?" Another crew member intervened, attempting to mediate.

"He broke our beer bottle!" one of them accused, pointing at the culprit.

"Dude, I absolutely didn't do it on purpose!"

Then another crew member appeared, followed by more, forming a gathering.

"Seriously, he said it was unintentional. What's your problem?" Another voice chimed in, and the crew members who were searching joined the growing crowd.

"This is the problem!" The beer bottle was pointed at. "Our treasure sack got wrecked by this jerk!"

"We can sort it out later; for now, just relax, you guys." A middle-aged man tried to calm the situation.

"Oh, so you're taking his side." The accuser pointed at the defender.

"Dude, I just want you two to break it up. The captain will get angry, and we'll be the targets of his wrath!"

"I think he's right." One crew member concurred.

"And what if we drown before we can enjoy our delicious beer, huh?"

"That's a valid point! Let's not let this ruin our happiness over a bottle of heaven!"

"You care more about beer than our current situation."

"Beer is really important, man!"

"Absolutely!"

"That's correct. My, oh my, just break his nose already. He talks too much!"

"Damn, you guys!"

Bruk!

Then someone struck the bottle breaker, initiating a fight.

"Hit him! Take him down!"

The crowd was excitedly watching the brutal brawl.

Instead of focusing on finding the missing girl, they were engrossed in the confrontation between the two crew members. They even placed bets and seemed to be enjoying themselves, which they were, of course. This continued long enough for the girl hiding in the box to slip away and leave her hiding spot.

The other areas had also been searched, giving her the opportunity to hide quietly if she found a suitable location.

Her graceful feet moved nimbly into a rather narrow room, where she concealed herself for the remainder of the journey.

Fortunately, she had not left the golden anklet on the floor when she departed. The bracelet had been a gift from her family and could prove useful for bribing a crewman, but it would be even more valuable if she used it in the human world.

Meanwhile, Dantley Swiftclaw left his castle, exuding his confident aura, as he headed toward the harbor. He was driving the finest Ferrari that a mortal had ever owned.

Tanks and other military weapons were positioned, ready to attack the ship which was now some distance away.

"Is he really going to destroy the ship?"

"Can this be true?"

"Please, let this not happen."

"This is unbelievable."

Voices in the harbor expressed anxiety as they braced themselves to witness the impending explosion of the ship - a ship about to be devastated by Dantley Swiftclaw's weaponry.

"Prepare everything, and await my signal," Dantley instructed the beta seated beside him.

"Is this your final decision?" The beta inquired cautiously, hoping not to offend the alpha.

Dantley turned to the beta and fixed him with an intense gaze. "Are you suddenly deaf? Your answer lies in that look," his sharp gaze conveyed.

"Very well, Alpha."

Exiting the car, he held a machine gun and issued orders to his soldiers. Meanwhile, Dantley remained within the car, observing the scene from its interior.

"Don't do this! My son is aboard one of those ships!" an elderly woman's voice cried out.

"Exactly! Show some mercy!"

"Why such cruelty? Help us!"

"You're being heartless just for an omega girl! You're no alpha!"

Indeed, Dantley's actions were far from those of a true leader. His self-absorption prevented him from feeling the pain of others. Living under his father's pressure to become a great leader, Dantley was ultimately responsible for his father's demise. His indifference extended to a level of cruelty.

"We await the alpha's signal," the beta whispered to the military leader standing beside him.

"But how long are we going to wait? The ships are already moving away."

The cries from the harbor grew louder, some even knocking on the windshield of Dantley's car, pleading, whining, and hoping that their leader would not execute his intentions.

"Please reconsider! I beg you!"

"Stay your hand," Dantley coldly ordered, causing the driver to slowly distance himself from the crowd. However, the attempt to escape the crowd was futile, as the car remained followed by concerned mothers and wives, determined to prevent the attack on the docked ships.

Dantley, indifferent to their pleas, grabbed his cell phone and contacted the beta.

"Initiate the attack, now!"

Upon receiving the order, the beta raised his hand, signaling for the assault to commence.

Boom!

Boom!

Boom!

Fire erupted, casting red flames across the sea. The crew screamed in terror, jumping into the water and struggling to stay afloat.

Helicopters and tanks fired bazookas across the vast expanse of the sea. Meanwhile, the omega girl gazed through the window at the sea ablaze with red inferno.

"W-what am I to do?"
