Chapter Six

               Avyanna Elyse

My heart was freaking jumping because of my dream! 

Because of that I also jumped out of bed.

“Gosh! Ang crazy ng dream ko! Parang fantasty lang! Tumatakbo kaming dalawa ni Rigel palabas ng party habang naka holding hands!” I shouted, kilig na kilig.

“What are you doing?” my heart skipped a beat when I heard Rigel’s voice from my back, now leaning towards the door.

“Huh? Narinig mo yong sinabi ko?” I said praying na hindi niya yon na rinig.

“Yes, and that was true, nangyari yon, kagabi, grabi ka kung kiligin Avyanna Elyse na pa-panaginipan mo pa, ganon ka ba talaga ka baliw sa’kin?” He said now shaking his head slowly walking out.

“Oy! Goodmorning hubby!” I shouted, holding my scream, and let it go when he was gone.

Shitt! Totoo pala yon!!

After I took a bath I immediately tiptoed outside trying to get out of the house with Rigel noticing.

But he was fast.

“Kumain ka muna,” he said while cooking.

“Ahh, wag na, sige byee—,” hindi pa natapos ang sasabihin ko ay biglang humarap Ito sa’kin.

“Sige, lumabas ka, wag ka nang u-uwi ah,” he said and continues to cook.

“Eh?!”

“Rigel,” I called him, while eating.

“Hm?” he answered.

“May gusto ka bang gawin ko?” I said while looking at him straightly.

“Huh? What do you mean?” wika nito, now looking to my eyes.

“I mean may gusto ka bang ipagawa sa’kin? I wanna do something for you, since ikaw nag lu-luto, nag huhugas ng plates, ganun,” I said,sweetly smiling.

“Look, I don’t need anything nor something, and why do you always ask me what I want? Di ka ba napapagod sa pinang gagawa mo?” he said.

“Well, no,” I answered sighing below my breath.

“And why is that?” he asked again, giving me a curious look.

“Because, I’ll do anything just to make you love me, and live happily ever after,” I said and stood up cleaning up my dishes.

“And it’s because of my looks, right,” he whispered.

“Huh? Ano yon?,” my eyebrows flew up when he whispered something.

“You know, Avyanna, A crazy woman who decides to get married to a guy who’s rich and has looks….. I hate that kind of woman,” he said and continues to wash the dishes.

I just kept silent and smiled at him.

“I didn’t love you because of your looks Rigel, it’s because it’s you,” I whispered and took my bag and shut the door.

My whole body literally jumped when Rigel slammed my test papers along with my report card on the table.

Galit ba siya? Eh ang ta-taas na n'yang line of 9 nagagalit pa siya.

“How on earth could you get straight 9 if your test papers are full  of red marks?” he said while making the calming face, he always do that whenever he's angry at me.

“Red marks? Ano meron dun ? masaba ba yon?” I asked I don’t know what's happening he's angry at me for having line of nines? 

“Seriously? Oo naman syempre, ba-bagsak ka pag may pulang marka ka, teka paano mo ba to ginagawa?” he asked while pointing at my report card and test paper. 

“Ang magka roon ng red marks? Ahh, madali lang yon first wag ka masyado makinig sa class or maglaro ka ng talking tom or call of dut—,” I stopped when he slapped his own forehead.

Hala may lamok?

“Avyanna! stop goffing around,” he hissed under his breath.

“Pano ka nagka-ka straight line of nine kung halos 0 ang score mo every test and quiz?” he asked, scrunching his nose.

“I don’t know, ask my dad and Kit,"

“Tsh, Kit,” he whispered, now grinning.

“Oh?” I asked while my face tilting.

“Anong oh?” he said in a provoking face.

Sinimangutan ko nalang siya, baka awayin ako.

“No, you have to be fair and square, ano? Dahil may pera lu-lusot na? paano ang mga may kaya lang na nag pu-pursiging mag aral para maka kuha ng mataas na marka? Unfair yon Avyanna, di lahat pwedeng idaan sa pera,” he said now straightly looking at me.

“Eh? What do you want me to do? Study?” I said raising my eyebrows, I don’t like studying, masakit sa ulo, I tried once.

“Exactly,” now pointing at me nodding.

“No,” I said now looking from afar.

“No? okay, your choi—,” I quickly stopped him when my ear rung. Pag 'yang linyang n'yan sinabi niya there is something good about it, like last time.

*Flash back*

“Avyanna,” habang nag babasa ako ng bagong update ni mami gwy sa Trie bigla akong tinawag ni Rigel.

What now? I wanna read Luna's ways of making Kalix like her para ma add ko kay Rigel! Epal ng asawa ko.

“What,” sagot ko, still focusing on the screen, humaharot na si Luna kay Kalix kung anong type niya, gosh!

“Anong type ng an—,” I quickly looked at him and answered.

Luna! Pagamit ng powers mo!

“Ikaw! Ikaw type ko!” I said and winked at him nang bigla siyang na ubo.

“What are you saying? I mean what type of talent do you have? Pinag sa-sabi mo dyan, Avyanna,” he said making me sighed.

Ano ba yan!

“Singing,” I replied, now reading again.

“Uh, can you sing something for me?” he said.

“Busy ako, no,” I replied shortly again, epal kasi humaharot ako eh.

“No? okay, your choi—,” he said making me smile.

“Okay fine, I’ll sing but you have to do something  in return okay?” I said and pointed at him.

                              **

After I singed for him, kahit di ko alam para saan go lang  ako kasi may prize.

And its payback time.

I lend my phone to him and show him a video, a video of Cha eun woo.

“Niga neomu joha ottoke ottoke~ niga neomu yeppeo ottoke ottoke~ narang manna bollae eotteohke saenggakhae?janmal malgo malhae jeohdago jeohdago~,” while the video is playing I stared at Rigel face the whole time, seeing him making the cringe face.  

“Heeck no, no, don't tell me that I'm doing that thing, heck no,” he said, dahan dahan nang umaatras, and ran as fast as he could toward his room, I quickly ran after him pero di ko siya naabotan. 

“Hoy! Buksan mo! Gawin mo to you’re so unfair!”

“Ayoko, bahala ka,” he said and still didn’t opened the door.

                            **

Minutes knocking at the door, I finally  gave up, and didn’t bother talking to  after, since I sang for long minutes.

Kapagod kaya.

                             **

“Hoy, a-alis ako, mamaya pako babalik,” Rigel said while we are having our breakfast, halos dalawang araw na di ko na siya pinapansin, at pansin ko rin panay na siya salita sakin pero dead ma, syempre kinikilig ako deep inside pero bet ko kaya patagalin natin!

I just looked at him and sighed before nodding.

“Woy, pansin ko lang ah, di mo na ako kinakausap, tapos ako yong panay usap sayo, bat moko di kina kausap para akong ulol dito na parang nag sasalita sa sarili ko,”  he said while leaning his face closer to mine.

I smiled, gusto kong pigilan pero lumabas.

“Ottoke ottoke,” I said, giving him a hint about it.

"Huh?” he said, now tilting his head.

“OTTOKE OTTOKE!” I shouted right at his face and stood up.

I heard him cuss habang papalabas ako ng bahay.

“FINE! ILL DO IT!” he shouted and made me smile.

                         **

“Okay, ill do it,”  I said and made him nod.

“Tomorrow, ill teach you,” he said and stood up.

Oh well my days are over.

                                 **

“Okay, since we’re all done with long division let’s move on to Synthetic  division, So it’s like this, X-3 divided by 2x³ + 4x -5x, first Copy 3, 2, 4 and -5, always take the signs, next bring down 2, then multiply, 3 multiplied by 2 is 6 right? Next but the 6 down to 4 and add, so 4 plus 6 is 10, out it here below 4 and 6, next 3 multiplied by 10 is 30,” while Rigel is teaching me about Synthatic, no syntactic? Oh Synthetic, my eyes are locked by Rigel’s face, I stared at him the whole time, without listening.

“Avyanna, what are you doing?” he asked now looking at me with high eyebrows.

“Oh? Me? Wala lang memorizing,” I replied, while whistling.

“You Mean by memorizing my whole face?” he said taking off his glasses.

Whenever he wear he’s eyeglasses he looks like an cool handsome adult, like a real business man, kahit sino siguro mas pipiliin ang tignan ang mukha niya kesa mga numero.

“Im hungry,” I whispered.

Praying that sana maniwala siya sa sinabi ko.

And it did! Goody good! Baka magkanda letche letche na pag tinanong ako kung pano.

“I’ll be grabbing some cookies,” he said and stood up.

“And milk,” I said, making him nod.

I don’t like coffee, and never will, I only drink milk, well fresh milk ngalang.

                          **

“If you get a zero red mark sa test paper mo I’ll grant you a wish, it’sa win win for you since you’ll be getting 2 prizes right?” he said now driving me to school.

“Yey! I’ll do my best! Promise yan okay! Bye!” I said and leaned closer to him and kissed him in the cheeks and ran outside.

When I realized what I did.

Omg! I kissed him!

While excited akong lumalakad sa hallway I noticed everyone not being busy and just chilling.

Everytime may exams everybody will be super duper busy na halos mag banggan sa hallway dahil di na nakatingin sa daan habang nag lalakad bitbit ang kanyang kanyang libro. 

And I was very curious.

“WOY!!!” my heart jumped when someone shouted at and unexpectedly pinched my cheeks.

“Kit, do you want me to die?” I said punching his stomach, but it seems like walang effect sa kanya and even led his arms above my shoulders.

“Arat gala mamaya,” he said habang sabay kaming nag lalakad.

“May exam diba? Bat tayo gagala?” I said taking off his arms ayaw, ang bigat kasi. 

But instead he froze.

“Oy! Kit! What happen?” I asked tilting my head.

“Ano yon?” he replied without moving just his eyes.

“What?” I asked raising my hands.

“Paki ulit ng sinabi mo Avy,” he said still not moving.

“What?” I replied saying what I said earlier.

“Hindi, yong isa pa,” he said.

“Oy kit what happened?” I said again.

“Ampocha, hindi yong isa pa,” he said now pointing at me.

“May exam? Kaya bat gagala?” I answered.

And made him walk backwards, slowly, like he barely saw a demon infront of him.

“Potangina, oy! Sino ka!” He shouted, making everyone in the hallway quiet.

“What are you saying Kit?” I hissed.

“Ilang demonyo ang sumanib sayo at inayawan mo yong sinabi kong gala?” I said now giving me a sharp stare like he’s checking every single part of me.

“What are you saying? Duh, we’re out of here,” I said and pulled him inside the classroom.

When I entered the room I saw everybody chilling.

“No exam for today,” wika ni Kit sa likod ko.

“Huh?” I said now with furious eyebrows.

“Anong huh? Wednesday pa daw yong exam, Hoy ikaw ba talaga yan? Bat mukhang galit kapa kasi di tuloy yong exam?” he said now lending me a plastic bag.

“Napulot ko sa basurahan kanina, nakita ko yong laman mga paborito mo kaya yan,” I said now walking outside the room while waving.

“May practice pa’ko, kita tayo mamaya,” he said and now gone.

Because walang class I just planned of staying on the library and study more.

I better take the opportunity, while mabait pa si Rigel sa’kin.

                           **

It’s my first time enjoying reading a book, and it’s a science book for exact.

“Michael Faraday, Micahel Faraday, where is it?” pabalikbalik kong wika haang iniisa-isa ang page ng libro.

“Page 104,” someones hand rarely appeared and change the pages from 98 to 104. I quickly check kung sino yon and si Kit lang naman pala.

“Ahh Kit, it’s you,” I said and continue to red my my senses turned back.

“KIIT?! BAT KA ANDITO?!” I shouted but he quickly covered my mouth and gestured to be quiet.

Di niya pwedeng makita akong nag a-aral!

“Shh, nasa library  tayo,” he said and at beside me. 

“Ikaw kayo, why are you here?” I asked slowly fixing my stuff.

“Ikaw dapat kong tanongin nyan, bat ka andito diba allergy ka sa libro?” he asked while pointing at the book.

“Hah? Wala bat naman? Tska anong allergy? Tuling ka ba?” I said and stood up.

“Oh, eh sige bahala ka kapanibago-bago ka na ah,” he said and took my bag.

“Daan muna tayo canteen, libre kita,” he said while putting his arms above my shoulders, again.

“Hah? Why would you treat me? I have my own money naman ah, or you’re thinking that i don’t have money?” I asked looking at him, tilting my head.

“Hah? wala ah, bat ba? Bawal bang manglibre sa bestie ko?” he asked now pinching my cheeks.

“Eh? Sige, lets goo!!”

                            **

After naming bumili sa canteen we ate while walking in the hallway,  at agad na pumasok sa class, since marami akong binili at nakalagay pa sa plastic bag I settled in my chair.

“Woy! Mag linis tayo, kawawa si kuya janitor halos siya nag lilinis ng rooms dito, sige na!” our class President Lourayne said and gave everyone stuffs to clean.

While everyone cleans the room I didn’t move and still continues to enjoy my treats.

But suddenly our  transferee classmate stood infront of me, staring at me.

I tilted my head my gesture whenever I ask or im curious.

“Mag linis ka, di ka señorita rito,” she said and gave me a broom, when everyone in our room reacts.

“Gago, tol, pinapalinis si Avy,” one of my classmate said while staring at the broom.

“Ahh, Zein, ako nalang akin na yang walis,” our class president said, trying to pull the  from her.

“Siya lang naman ang hindi nag lilinis dito ah, tska nag mo-mop ka diba? kaya mo bang ipag sabay ang pag wa-walis at pag mo-mop sa isang segundo? Diba hindi? kaya mag linis ka,”she said emotionless.

“Adik ka Zein, di yan pinapalinis or inu-utosan dito,” a friend of hers said.

“Okay,” I said and stood up.

“Give me the broom,” I said handing the broom, and started sweeping.

“Hah?!” everyone reacted whie nag wa-walis ako.

“Panaginip ba to?” Alica said.

“Avy, anong nangya-yari sayo? bat ka pumayag?” he said habang nag wa-walis ako.

“Ikaw ba talaga yan? kanina na nagagalit ka kasi di tuloy yong exam kasunod nag ba-basa ka ng libo sa library, ngayon pumayag kang mag walis, dati yong nag biga syo ng walis para palinisin ka halos nangli-limos na ngayon dahil bankrup na ang companya nila, nako Avy may hindi ka sinasabi, lahat nang ginawa mo kanina di mogina-gawa dati, may boyfriend kana no? kaya gina-gawa mo yan?” he said while trying to pull the boom but I pulled it para di niya makuha.

“Hindi, I don’t have boyfiend,” wika ko and  tumalikod at nag tungo sa labas.

“Eh? Kung hindi para sa boyfiend mo, kanino?” he asked.

I stopped walking when I heard what he said. 

I smiled, without facing him.

“Para sa asawa ko,”
