Lucien pov

When I perused the message on my phone screen, my jaw dropped and my brows furrowed.

I blinked and bit on my lower lip to be sure I hadn't been hallucinating all this while.

I clicked exit from the current message I was reading and clicked on Raina’s message to read where she had told me to go home and not bother coming to pick her up.

Raina had sent me that message.

Then how possible was it that someone was texting me when Raina was admitted to the hospital?

Was Raina pulling a prank?

I scrolled to my call list and redialed Raina’s contact but it wasn't reachable.

“Okay,” I muttered and walked to my car.

I slid to the driver’s seat, fastened my seatbelt, and ignited the engine, and pulled out.

I stepped on the throttle, swerving to the right and a car came speeding towards me, the tyres of my car screeched against the hard-tarred roads.

I pulled in a reverse maneuver, swerving to my right, and stepped on the brake, allowing the car to drive past me.
