WEDDING BELLS
Katie's Pov
It was my wedding day. Not what I imagined, but it was it. As I walked down the aisle and I met my mothers teary eyes, she was so happy, her daughter was getting married, and not just to anybody, to the David's, the richest family in the state, maybe even in the country.
I turned to aunt M, she nodded and gave me a little smile. She was the only family member who actually knew what I was getting into.
I looked at Suri, she was so beautiful and happy, her big sister was getting married to Josiah David. She would have bragging rights in school, because everyone knew that name.
Then I turned to face the man I was marrying at the altar. He had no love in his eyes, if anything, he couldn't wait to get done with this and get the hell out of here. I got to the altar and he helped me up, taking my position beside him, we faced the priest, and everyone sat down.
"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to join these lovely two in holy matrimony.", I took a peek at the man beside me, he had a very stern face,
"If anyone here has any reason why this couple should not be joined together, speak now or forever hold your peace", the priest looked at the congregation,
I closed my eyes. If someone could just stand up, and disrupt this marriage. Anyone. Please.
Josiah's Pov
I stood at the altar, and there she was, walking slowly, alone. I got to learn that her father died, and she had no one to walk her down the aisle, poor little thing. She looked different from that day in my office. I couldn't find the words to describe it, but she looked different. Good different. She got to the altar, and I helped her up to stand beside me, and we faced the priest, everyone else taking their seats.
"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to join these lovely two in holy matrimony", I cannot believe I am really doing this,
"If anyone here has any reason why this couple should not be joined together, speak now or forever hold your peace", the priest couldn't be anymore specific,
I took a peek at her, she had her eyes closed. Say something! I screamed to her in my head. I wished one of the women I used to be involved with would stand up, and tell everyone how she is carrying my child.
No, I didn't want that.
"By the power vested in me, I pronounce you both man and wife", I felt my heart sink into my stomach, I was no longer a bachelor,
"You may kiss your bride", the priest looked at me,
She turned to face me, I slowly lifted her veil, and got the chance to look properly at her. She did not look at me, and for some reason, kept her gaze on my suit. I slowly went in to kiss her, her lips did not move, neither did she. I pulled away, then I looked at her, her eyes were closed tightly. And then it came in, all the cheers, and screams of friends and family.
Katie's Pov
"By the power vested in me, I pronounce you both man and wife", I immediately felt sick in my stomach. The same feeling I got that day in his office,
"You may kiss your bride ", can we just skip this part, please..
I turned to face him. He took his time to lift up my veil. I stared at his suit. He came in for the kiss and I went numb. Unconsciously, my eyes shut tightly. Then it came in, loud cheers from all our friends and family.

Katie's Pov In no time, it was morning. I had had breakfast brought up to my room again. The cooks in the house really did a good job. I showered, and went downstairs, making my way to the library, where I met Jane. She told me Josiah had gone to work early. Avoiding me today again I see. I made my way to the garden, laid down on the grass, and began the book I had taken from the library. I looked up when I heard a car pull up into the drive way. It was him. I got up, walking towards the car."Are you avoiding me?", I accused him,"I do not have the energy to", he did not bother looking at me,"You could not even come out to see if I had settled in properly ", I kept my gaze on him,"I can see now that you settled well enough to come disrupt my afternoon", he started walking into the house,"Is this how you intend on treating me the next two years?", I trailed behind him,He turned to face me, and I stopped in my tracks, "If you do not stay out of my way", and he proceeded upstairs.

Katie's Pov He sat up as I walked in. I stood by the door after closing it, unsure of what to do next, or where to go. Katie's Pov The chipping sound of birds woke made me open my eyes, stretching every inch of my body on the bed. Took me a while to notice I was not in my room..again. I looked down, confused as to how I had night clothes on. I did not recall changing last night. My eyes widened, did he change me?, I thought. He had every right to anyway, we were married afterall. I stretched again on getting down from the bed, the events of last night slowly began to return to my memory. After dinner, we got in the car, I remember falling asleep almost immediately. If I don't remember walking upstairs, then it means I didn't walk upstairs. I placed both hands on my cheeks, 'he carried me ', that was the only option. I found myself smiling at the thought of it as I tried to create a mental picture in my head. Why was I even smiling?, he's still a selfish, rude, jerk. There was a knock on the door, had to be one of the cleaning staffs. The door opened to confirm my suspicion.
