Farewell To Her Lost

Fermion POV

My eyes rolled into the back of my head as she bit hard into my skin, it didn't tear my skin but the pleasure that came from the action had me bringing her head more closer.

My cock stirred in my pants and I let out a small groan of pleasure and that must have set her off because she startled and tried to escape my arms but I held her to myself more firmly but gently before I spoke up.

“That was quite the bite for a girl who doesn't have a wolf” I teased but her eyes watered and she tried once again to escape my arms and this time, I took Grayson's advice and calmly let her go before taking a step backwards.

“I know I don't have a wolf. You don't have to throw it into my face” she snapped, her voice clear but with a certain waver that had my fists tightening together.

Whatever they did to her would be repaid ten fold. I would make them all pay for all they did to her but first I had to know what horror she faced so I could return it.

But I had to be gentle with her. “I'm not aiming to insult you, little mate. I commend your strength” I whispered and she just stared at me for a minute before she snapped again.

“If you want to reject me, get on with it.” My brows furrowed, what made her think I would ever reject her? She was without a wolf but I had two other pack members who was without a wolf and are taken very seriously and also respected too.

“I can never think of rejecting you. What gave you that idea?” I asked and she looked away, small sobs beginning to rack through her body and I knew that was a sore topic for her.

I glanced at Grayson to find him giving me an unimpressed look before he made a gesture with his head and I gave one last look at my mate whose name I still didn't know before going out with him.

“The fuck!” He exclaimed in a low tone and my brows furrowed in question.

“What?” I asked and he glared at me.

“I told you to be gentle, not complimenting a girl who has gone through what I can only describe as the most traumatic experience I've ever seen” he said and rage surged through me, my lycan rearing it's head in my mind.

Now awake and listening in through my ears. My eyes heated and I felt my mouth becoming full but I squeezed my eyes shut and tried to calm myself down.

“Tell me.. show me” I said and he gave me a sympathetic look before he took out a file and passed it to me.

I snapped it open and my knees weakened at the sight before me– she had broken ribs that had been broken over and over again without repair and they were all sticking out awkwardly which meant that she would need treatments to get them back to shape.

Her whole body was bruised up and beyond repair or I hoped they weren't. There were some impairments on her lungs, which would mean that she was having trouble breathing but her face had shown none of this pain.

“I feel she has become used to pain so even if it hurts any other wolves or mortal, she wouldn't be able to feel it” Grayson said with a solemn voice and my hands crumpled the papers as I felt my lycan roar loudly in my head and without thinking.

I snapped my head back, and roared loudly with rage as everyone fell to their knees and without any other words, I turned and rushed out of the hospital.

My clothes tearing off as I transformed and raced into the woods. As I ran, I threw my head back and let out a haunting howl filled with the rage and pain I was feeling.

And during this time, I thought of ways to destroy the pack for good so much so that their names become ancient history and unable to be uttered any longer.

They would pay, that was certain. I would make them pay.

“Alpha” filled my mind and I came to sudden stop, Jared was my beta but right now, he didn't sound good. It sounded more urgent and that had me stopping in my tracks.

“Speak” my voice came out guttural.

“The woman you brought in escaped” what?.

“What do you mean she escaped?” I barked out and he sighed into my mind.

“After you left the hospital, she somehow slipped away. We're searching for her now” he informed and I nodded, turning around and running back to the pack.

On my way there, I paused when I smelt her and took the path that carrried her scent the most towards a small lake and she sat there.

Her hands shaking as she plucked four sunflowers from the nearby meadow before walking into the flowing currents.

What was she doing? In her other hand was a flower I knew all too well what the use was for.

It was a black rose with specks of red, just one and it was hard to pluck due to the amount of thorns it had but she held it tightly in her hands as she bent down into the water.

I felt my instincts flare up and began for her but she emerged and then let the five flowers go, they flowed downstream as she watched.

Her sobs reaching my ears as she muttered “I'll make them pay”

Full of conviction and hatred and a burning sense of pain and rage coating those words.

She was sending off her dead, four sunflowers for family. Four of her family, her loved ones were dead.

The startling realization that she had lost a lot more than even I had made me almost crumple to my knees but I held on. She was carrying so much more than I could ever imagine so what right did I have to be weaker than her.

“Hey” I called out into the mind link and Grayson and Jared's consciousness floated into mine before I spoke up.

“Find out everything that happened this past years, I want reports and I want them instantly.” I ordered, my voice burning with rage as I watched her with hooded eyes.

“Yes, Alpha” they both chorused and I nodded before stepping out of the shadows where I was hiding, easily changing forms into my mortal form and taking small steps to her.

“I never caught your name” she startled as she snapped her head to me and fear clouded them before she began to wade deeper into the currents in a bid to escape me but without thinking, I rushed forward and dived in. Swimming to her and dragging her out of the water easily.

“Let me go” she screeched and I brought her before me with annoyance, not at her but at what had broken her this way.

“You survived whatever happened to you not to die and you still have a revenge plan to complete. So don't go dying because you can't stop being a coward” I instantly regretted my last words because the next second, her nose flared and she sent a slap hurtling into my cheeks.
