ADRIAN'S POV

The rhythmic, clinical beep of the heart monitor was the only sound cutting through the sterile quiet of the private hospital suite.

Adrian sat on the edge of the rigid plastic chair, a small porcelain bowl of warm broth resting in his palm. He dipped the silver spoon into the liquid, blowing on it gently before bringing it to his sister's lips.

Sophie turned her head away, her eyes hollow, staring blankly at the beige wall. "I'm not hungry, Adrian. Please, just take it away."

Adrian sat on the edge of the rigid plastic chair, a small porcelain bowl of warm broth resting in his palm. He dipped the silver spoon into the liquid, blowing on it gently before bringing it to his sister's lips.Sophie turned her head away, her eyes hollow, staring blankly at the beige wall. "I'm not hungry, Adrian. Please, just take it away.""You've said that for the last three meals, Soph," Adrian said, his voice dropping into a soft, uncharacteristically gentle tone he reserved only for her. He offered a faint, teasing smile, trying to pierce through the heavy gloom suffocating the room. "If you don't eat, I’m going to have to call the head chef at the villa and tell him his cooking is getting rejected. His ego won't survive the blow. Come on, just one bite for the sake of the staff."Sophie shifted her gaze to him, a microscopic sp

JACINTHA'S POVThe violent, jarring thud of fiberglass grinding against wet gravel sent Jacintha flying forward. Her forehead smacked hard against the steering console, the sudden impact jerking her out of a restless, exhaustion-induced sleep. The engine gave one final, spluttering cough before dying completely. The transport boat had finally hit the mainland shore, wedging itself tightly into a secluded cove at the edge of the commercial harbor. As she tried to sit up, a wave of agonizing, white-hot pain radiated from her left leg, making her vision go entirely black for a terrifying second. She dry-heaved over the side of the deck, clutching her ribs. When her vision finally cleared, she looked down through her tears, and her stomach twisted in pure revulsion. Her left ankle was a horrific sight—bloated, discolored a sickening shade of purple, and swollen to twice its normal size, straining against the fabric of her sock. The physical torment, however, was nothing compared to the

DANIELLE'S POVDanielle practically sprinted down the grand eastern corridor, her bare feet slamming against the cold marble floor as she flew toward the secondary guest suite. She threw the doors open, snatched her clothes from the closet, and began tearing off her silk pajamas with frantic, trembling hands. She threw on a sharp designer blazer and slacks, her phone pressed tightly between her ear and her shoulder."How the hell does a girl with a broken ankle manage to slip past three grown, armed men, steal a motorized transport boat, and launch it into the open ocean, Reid?" Danielle hissed into the receiver, her voice a lethal, furious whisper as she snatched her car keys off the vanity. "I am paying you and those primitive mercenaries a fortune to keep two helpless women under lock and key, and you give me this?""I already told you, they picked the lock while the guards were distracted by the match," Reid shouted back over the line, the sound of wind and roaring waves crashi

  • DEAR HUSBAND, I'M DONE   CHAPTER 300

DANIELLE'S POVThe heavy, cream-colored pages of the contract felt like sandpaper against Danielle’s manicured fingertips. As her eyes scanned the legal jargon drafted across the pages, the triumphant smirk she had worn all morning completely withered away. She was not pleased. In fact, she was absolutely furious.According to these cold, clinical clauses, she was going to get virtually nothing out of her marriage to Adrian. Jane’s personal attorney had built an ironclad fortress around the Hudson estate. There was a strict, insulting limit to how much of Adrian's wealth she could access, zero claims on his primary assets in the event of a divorce, and to make matters worse, a massive financial fine she would be forced to pay if she ever breached the confidentiality of the family name.Sitting across the polished mahogany table, Jane elegantly sipped her Earl Grey tea, looking entirely relaxed. To ensure Danielle couldn't manipulate her way out of it, Jane had her senior corporate l

ELENA'S POVThe hellish, crimson glow of the flare painted the sky in a bloody light, casting long, distorted shadows across the forest floor. The loud, panicked shouting of the guards erupted from the cabin behind them, accompanied by the crashing of doors and the frantic barking of dogs in the distance."Elena, we have to go. Now!" Jacintha screamed, her voice cracking with sheer terror as she tugged desperately at Elena’s arm. "They know we’re gone. They’re coming.""I can't..." Elena sobbed, her legs trembling so violently she could barely stand. The white-hot pain in her abdomen was blinding, making her head spin. She sank onto her knees against the damp earth, clutching her pregnant belly. She felt completely drained, empty of all strength. "Jacintha, please... you have to leave me. Run. You're fast enough to make it to the utility shed. Call for help. Just save yourself.”"Are you out of your mind?" Jacintha snapped, grabbing Elena by her shoulders and shaking her hard. Her e

  • DEAR HUSBAND, I'M DONE   CHAPTER 298

ELENA'S POVThe damp, salt-kissed night air clung to the interior of the wooden cabin, heavy with a suffocating tension. Jacintha stood frozen, her cheek pressed flat against the rough wood of the door, her eyes shut tight as she strained to hear the slightest rustle of clothing or the heavy scuff of combat boots in the hallway outside.Over by the barred window, Elena held her breath, her hands resting protectively over her swollen abdomen as she peered down into the shadow-drenched yard below. For days, the two of them had done nothing but watch. They had mapped out the guards’ movements, noted the shifting patterns of their patrols, and memorized the exact times they grew lax.Down below, the two guards who usually stood by the perimeter fence turned on their heels, talking in low, muffled voices before disappearing around the corner of the main building."They’re gone," Elena whispered, her voice barely a thread in the dark.Jacintha pulled back from the door, a frantic, adrenal

ELENA’S POV“Damn it!”The curse tore from my chest as I stared at the television. ELENA'S POV I stood there, watching the man I once loved show his blind loyalty to Danielle, and I couldn’t help wondering how I had been so foolish for so long. I had no wish to stay in their messy drama any longer. Just as I turned to leave, not bothering to grab my things, Danielle’s voice sto

  • DEAR HUSBAND, I'M DONE   CHAPTER 002

ELENA'S POVI didn’t need a single cent, not from Adrian. Not from his family. Not from the life I was walking away from. All I needed was an end to the bondage I had trapped myself in. When I told him I wanted a divorce, he had scoffed, convinced I was just being dramatic as usual. He didn’t beli
