LOGINAurora Brooks POV
"What is the name of this whale? It looks strange. I do not think it is a shark," I murmured curiously, my eyes dancing over every inch of it.
He glanced at the whale figurine in his hand while I kept examining it from every side. Then he answered my curiosity.
"Blue whale."
My eyes widened in shock. I had heard about it many times on social media.
"Is that the whale that makes that terrifying sound?"
He nodded with a faint smile. Then he sat in front of me, his legs spread slightly, holding a glass of golden wine in his hand. A stubborn man. Determined to destroy my self control.
"Yes. That one."
His voice slid straight into my ears. The rough warmth of alcohol in his tone sent a shiver through my body, right between my thighs. I crossed one leg over the other.
"I can take you to see it for real if you want."
Excitement rushed through me. I squeezed the figurine between my fingers.
"I want that so much, Captain."
His pupils darkened instantly. His teeth clenched as he spoke harshly.
"Captain. That word makes me want to do filthy things. Things I do not want to do."
I kept playing with the figurine, trying to push the tension away from my thoughts. I could not afford to lose control here. Not with this man.
"I do not understand what you mean."
His gaze dropped to my bare thigh. His breathing grew heavier while he stared. My eyes trembled under the intensity of it.
"You want an explanation?"
Before my brain could think, I nodded.
He placed his wine glass on the glass table and slowly stood up, walking toward me with a lazy drunken grace.
Then he crouched in front of me. His massive body filled my entire view. His hands pushed my legs apart while his eyes devoured the space between them.
His voice came out sharp as he watched the way my pupils shook.
"I will give you an explanation you will remember for the rest of your life."
In that heated moment between us, he spread my thighs wider and pulled my body closer to his face by gripping my back.
"You are about to become my sister's father in law."
His fingers slid to the edges of my dress that rested below my shoulders. He pulled the fabric down slightly until the soft valley of my breasts was clearly visible to him.
"What is wrong with that, Aurora?"
He licked his lips slowly, leaving them shiny and tempting. The sight almost made me forget everything that had ever happened to me.
I wanted to forget everything since the day I was born. Just once. I wanted to follow my own desires.
My eyelids grew heavy. My cheeks flushed as his lips brushed the line between my breasts.
"My God."
My whisper slipped out weakly.
His warm tongue slid into the narrow valley of my chest. A sharp shiver shot through me and I grabbed his dark hair tightly.
"Captain."
The pounding between my legs grew stronger and stronger, like my body was about to explode with pleasure. A feeling I had never experienced before.
"What is happening to me? This feels strange… and wonderful."
He stopped licking my skin and lifted his slanted eyes toward me.
"You have never felt this before?"
I shook my head no.
My fingers brushed his smooth hair away from his eyes before I answered.
"No."
He raised an eyebrow, looking confused as if caught between two thoughts. I could see the conflict in his gaze.
"So you are not a whore?"
Embarrassment spread across my whole body.
"Do I look like one?"
His eyes moved across my face with deep focus. Maybe it was the first time I had seen him so honest.
"You are not."
He stood up and stepped away from me, leaving the fire in my body burning without mercy. I wanted something to cool the wild ache throbbing between my legs.
He dropped back onto the couch, exhaustion suddenly covering his face as the darkness returned to his features.
"You are still young, Aurora. And I am not ready to ruin you."
My cheeks turned red with embarrassment, as if I had been the one chasing him first.
"That is funny. Because I am already corrupted."
He raised his eyebrow for a second, then lowered it when he understood what I meant.
"You are trying to rebel against your father through me. And I do not like rebellious girls."
His words surprised me. But he was right.
Still, I narrowed my eyes mysteriously.
"I do not know why… but sometimes you remind me of him."
He slowly rubbed his hands over his thighs. My eyes followed the movement without meaning to.
"Because you are obsessed with him. You see him everywhere."
He bit his lip with a faint angry smile. The shine in his eyes while staring at the floor felt dangerous.
"Aurora. I do not like being compared to anyone. So be careful."
I lifted my eyebrow arrogantly.
"And if I am not careful… what will you do to me?"
Before he could answer, a deep growl suddenly echoed through the room.
It was not human.
I knew that sound.
My body froze as a violent shiver of fear ran through me.
"Who is that? Is it that tiger again?"
He remained seated calmly. Even when he heard the approaching steps, he simply watched my stiff movements with amused eyes.
I whispered while staring at the small tiger's face.
"Please move him away from me."
The captain smiled with bright teeth, as if watching a comedy movie.
"He will not hurt you. He will just sit on your lap."
As if he had cast a magic spell on him, the tiger jumped onto the couch and settled directly on my thighs.
"Oh my God. Please move him. What if he sinks his teeth into my leg?"
Mr. Alexander stood up and walked to a shelf beside the couch. He took out a cigarette and lit it with a golden lighter.
Then he spoke calmly. His serious tone burned away my fear.
"He will not. He has not reached the hunting stage yet. And even when he does, he will not hurt you."
He blew out a stream of smoke. The strange scent reached me.
"You look beautiful taming my tiger on your lap."
My hand slowly moved over the colorful fur. Yellow, black, and soft beige.
"A woman can tame anything. She only needs courage."
He nodded in agreement.
"You are right."
When I stroked the tiger's head, it suddenly opened its mouth wide and showed its teeth. I screamed in fear.
"Do you think he likes me?"
He held the cigarette between his lips while opening the buttons of his white shirt one by one. The deep crease between his brows was strangely attractive.
He answered confidently.
"Tiger does not approach just anyone."
Fascinated by the name of his predator, I raised my eyebrows.
"Tiger. That is a beautiful name."
I studied his face quietly.
"I do not know why… but you look very sad. In a strange way, you remind me of myself."
I stood up slowly and walked toward him.
"Do we have something in common?"
His eyes traveled slowly from my feet to my head. Then he lowered his gaze to the floor.
"Maybe."
When our eyes met again, he looked at me with crushing intensity. My gaze fell straight into the dark depth of his.
Then he spoke in a heavy voice.
"The only thing we share is that we are both living lives we do not want. Am I wrong, little one?"
The way he called me little one sent butterflies rushing through my stomach. It felt like my body had been made just to hold that fluttering feeling.
I smiled softly. There was a strange hint of kindness in his voice.
"You are lucky. You have money. All my problems are because of it."
He suddenly caught my watery gaze. Without saying it directly, he silently told me not to cry.
"If I give you money, what will I get in return?"
I prayed a hundred times he was not asking for something I could not give.
I did not want his money.
And I did not want to sell my body for it.
"I will not accept money from you again. I am also thinking about returning what you gave me that night soon."
Suddenly his fingers rebelled against my lips. His thumb slid gently over my lower lip.
"I asked you a question. Answer me."
The harshness in his voice made my lips move slightly against his fingers. My heart started pounding wildly, refusing to calm down even for a second.
Aurora Brooks POVI used my phone light to guide my steps and walked toward the hallway leading to the main door.Just as I reached for the handle to leave, a man's hand suddenly grabbed my wrist."Where are you running off to, beautiful?"The smell of alcohol from his mouth made me sick. I looked at his ugly, swollen face."Take your filthy hand off me before I break it."I pulled free easily. He was weak. Swaying slightly."Do you not want to sleep with a rich businessman like me? Try me, sweetheart. You will not regret it."I closed my eyes, my patience gone. Then I grabbed his neck violently and squeezed until his eyes almost popped out."Say that again, you rotten bastard."His breath leaked from his mouth like a dying animal. But suddenly he regained some strength and grabbed my throat the same way."I will fuck you right here until you learn who I am. Girls like you deserve nothing but our seed filling their wombs."My grip loosened instantly as his hand crushed my throat harde
Aurora Brooks POVI wiped my tear quickly before it could slide down my full cheeks."Mr. Alexander was kind. We spoke calmly, and I explained everything that happened between my father and me that night."But luck betrayed me. I could not hold my tears back. The memory of the panic attack he caused came rushing in, and I burst into tears right in front of her."He was such a gentleman. He did not say a single bad word about me, Ivy."I noticed her eyes suddenly fix on my neck. Her gaze froze there. The mark of a hand. It had probably turned purple by now.She gasped in horror."Oh my God… what happened to your neck?"I quickly wrapped my hand around it so she would stop staring. But she stepped closer, pulled my hand away, and lifted my chin so she could see it clearly."Who did this to you? Did… did someone hurt you?"Her eyes filled with painful tears as if she were about to break apart. Her voice trembled while she forced those words out.My eyes widened in shock at her fearful gu
Aurora Brooks POV"Captain."I murmured softly as I ran toward him.I stopped in front of him, breathing lightly. I had not run much. It was only a few steps. But the way he looked at me stole the air from my lungs.I caught his trembling hand inside the pocket of his pants. He tried to hide it from me, but I noticed it before I left the first time."If your hand starts shaking and you want it to stop fast, squeeze your fingers hard, then relax them for twenty seconds."I moved his fingers with my other hand to show him."Like this. Do you get what I mean?"I lifted my rifle slightly as if it was talking to his darkness. I saw him staring straight into my eyes without shame. He tried to smile again. The smile refused to stay."Where did you go just now?"At last his hand stopped shaking, though a faint tremor still lingered. I did not let go of it. My small hand kept holding his without thinking. He cleared his throat and spoke in a low murmur."I was thinking that nothing in you is d
Aurora Brooks POVWe walked off the ship together. Silence fell between us. Heavy. Almost holy.He swallowed his tongue. I bit mine. Even our eyes refused to meet. They stayed fixed on the road ahead.Curious, I spoke from behind him, studying his broad shoulders with open contempt.God, how I hated him."Where are we going?"He did not answer. He had stopped beside a fairly large group of men wearing the same bright white uniform. Sailors. Naval men. The captain spoke with a firm voice that commanded instant obedience."Was it supplied with the cargo before it was activated?"A man with two dimples and narrow eyes answered. Handsome. Charismatic in a quiet way."Yes, sir."I stepped a little closer, and suddenly all their eyes turned to me.The attention made heat crawl up my neck. I felt absurdly embarrassed.Alexander answered while moving toward the door of ship number seven, the number carved deeply into its massive side. The long haired man followed him, his hair tied behind his
Aurora Brooks POV"When a fire starts, do not complain about the smoke that will choke you."I shoved his shoulders away from me and shouted."Do not try to bully me. And do not let that brain of yours think you can threaten me."My eyes burst with tears as if I were fighting death itself."You cannot defeat a girl raised by a cruel life."The tight anger on his face slowly loosened, though his hand was still gripping my neck. He pulled his hand away and turned toward his desk, speaking with cold irritation."You never stop draining the best parts of me. Aurora, I am still taking into consideration that you are a girl."The moment he finished shouting, I collapsed onto the floor, sobbing uncontrollably. He slowly turned toward me. I rubbed my neck and curled into the corner of the office. His fast breathing filled the room. My hysterical gasps mixed with it violently."Aurora."My head dropped forward under a flood of emotion. My loud crying still would not stop."Are you okay?"He cr
Aurora Brooks POVI studied Captain Alexander's sinful figure the same way he studied mine. His body inside that sharp uniform stole my breath and locked my tongue on the last word I had spoken. Before Martin could say anything angry to scold me, the captain spoke in a cold voice wrapped around his rough tone."You may leave, Engineer."Martin's tense expression loosened. He walked to the door without even looking at me. I liked the way the captain stopped him from saying another word to me.Mr. Alexander leaned back in his leather chair, playing with a fountain pen between his fingers. His raven black hair fell over the right side of his forehead."Getting you here was easy, Aurora."My fingers tightened around my bag."What exactly do you want from me?"I closed my eyes for a moment, trying to keep my nerves from breaking. My voice shook with every word that left my throat."I know you refused your son's engagement to my sister just to control me. So what do you want from me?"He th
