16 - A pawn

"So, I've had a rethink, and maybe I should get a babysitter for Aurora,"

I grabbed a scrunchie from the table, using it to hold my hair in a ponytail before turning to my phone, which was resting on the mirror.

Hannah's face appeared on the screen again, this time with a bowl of fries.

"Jin-jja? ( Really?)"

I nodded and picked up my lip gloss.

"Of course, it's the only solution,"

"I've asked Lara to look for anyone interested in babysitting."

She laughed, taking a bite out of the fry in her hand.

"Is it some sort of company interview?"

I rolled my eyes.

"Whatever."

It had taken everything to finally accept that getting a babysitter was the only solution. Well, the other was to back out from the project, but it was too late to do that. And besides, it's not like the babysitter is forever, just nine months, and our lives would be back to normal.
