Lillian’s POV

I stood at the window watching Dorian’s car disappear down the driveway, a hollow feeling settling in my chest as the distance between us grew.

A week felt like an eternity right now, especially with everything that had happened with the elders and the strange threats I’d been receiving.

“You should have told him,” Alanna said from behind me, her voice tight with worry. “About the shadow, about the note, about all of it. He has a right to know someone’s threatening you.”

I turned

  • Dear Ex Mate, You're Mine to Ruin   Chapter 219

Lillian’s POVI sat on the edge of a small, dusty bed in the corner of the hidden safe house, staring blankly at the wooden floorboards.Morning light filtered through the cracked glass window, casting long, pale shadows across the small room. I hadn't slept a single minute. Every time I closed my eyes, the horrifying image of that secret room flashed behind my eyelids hundreds of old, white human bones and polished skulls piled on the cold floor, the remains of my peaceful ancestors who were chained and tortured just so evil wolves could siphon their sacred power away.A burning, uncontrollable rage erupted deep within my chest, making my hands shake violently.I stood up abruptly and marched straight over to the wooden chair in the center of the room where Aaron was tied up. His hands were bound tightly behind his back with thick rope, and his face was bruised and pale.I reached out, grabbed his shirt collar, and yanked his face close to mine, my bright white hair falling over my s

  • Dear Ex Mate, You're Mine to Ruin   Chapter 218

Lillian’s POVMy heavy bodyguards quickly unlocked Aaron's rusted cell door, but we kept him in heavy metal cuffs so he couldn't try to betray us or run away into the dark.I grabbed Aaron by his torn shirt collar, pulling his face close to mine. "Take us to the sealed rooms right now, Aaron," I commanded, my voice cold, sharp, and unyielding."Lillian, please listen to me!" Aaron tried to talk me out of it as we walked up the dark stone stairs of the dungeon, his shaky voice full of deep, nervous panic. "You don't need to go digging around in those old rooms looking for answers! It is dangerous, and there is nothing up there that can help you or save this ruined land! Just leave it alone!"I gripped his shirt even tighter, shoving him forward through the quiet hallway of the pack house."Stop lying to me, Aaron!" I snapped at him, my bright white hair blowing over my shoulders. "I am not going to turn back! I need answers about my ancient pack and my true ancestors! The only reason y

Lillian’s POVI stood at the edge of the tall hill, looking down at the Moonstone territory.I was finally back in the pack I once knew so well, but everything was totally different from what I remembered in my past. The quiet streets, the pretty houses, and the green parks were all gone. The whole land was completely at war. Black smoke rose high into the cloudy gray sky, burned cars sat upside down on the dirt roads, and the heavy sound of distant gunfire echoed off the mountains.Within my very first hour of stepping into the pack, a group of five rough, angry men jumped out from behind a ruined brick building, swinging sharp iron pipes at us."Look!" one of the men yelled, charging forward with a scary growl. Before the men could even touch a single strand of my white hair, theFangshade bodyguards Dorian sent with me stepped in front of me. They pulled out their heavy black guns and fired warning shots into the air, quickly deterring the attackers away. The scared men turned aroun

  • Dear Ex Mate, You're Mine to Ruin   Chapter 216

Dorian’s POVThe door of the waiting room closed behind Gabrielle, leaving me alone in the sunlit corridor.I stood in the hallway, staring down at the blue Viremoor necklace resting in my hand. The dark blue stone glinted under the light, but instead of bringing me absolute peace, a sharp, uncomfortable pressure squeezed deep within my chest. My inner wolf stirred restlessly beneath my skin, letting out a low, uneasy growl. He was pacing back and forth inside my mind, his fur standing on end as if a lethal predator were crouching in the dark shadows right beside us. There was something my wolf was desperately trying to point out to me some hidden detail, some unnatural scent, or a subtle mismatch in her presence but no matter how hard I tried, I simply couldn't place my finger on it. Yet, as much as my wolf distrusted the strange woman, my rational mind couldn't just dismiss Gabrielle's frantic warning. She knew about the metal tomb beneath Blackthorn. She held Lillian's lost neckla

Cassidy’s POV"Do I know you?" Dorian asked, his deep voice carrying a sharp, dangerous edge that made my skin crawl.I forced my heart rate down, swallowing the lump of pure terror in my throat. I looked up at him with wide, innocent eyes, using the softest tone my voice could manage behind the spell."You once knew me, Alpha Dorian," I replied softly, lowering my gaze to look like a humble, fearful traveler. "But that is not important right now."Dorian didn't move an inch. "If it is not important, why are you standing inside my house?""I need to see Lillian," I said quickly, taking a step forward before checking myself. "Please, I need to speak with the Luna immediately."Dorian’s eyes narrowed into sharp slits. The air in the room grew heavy as his Alpha aura flared slightly. "How do you know my wife? How do you even know her name?"This was the moment. This was the lie that was going to open every door for me."I am the one who helped Lillian escape from the Blackthorn pack," I

Cassidy’s POVThe trees of the southern forest loomed over my head as I stood near the border of the Fangshade pack.My heart was hammering violently against my ribs like a wild animal trapped in a cage. I clutched my thin traveling cloak tightly around my shoulders, plotting my next move very carefully. I had less than fourteen short days before the shaman’s illusion potion wore off and exposed my true face to these savage wolves. I could not afford a single mistake. I had to get inside that grand pack house today.I took a deep, steadying breath, forced my hands to shake, and dragged my feet toward the high iron gates of the main estate. Two tall, heavy Fangshade guards stepped into the middle of the paved road, raising their long black rifles."Halt right there!" the first guard barked in a rough, sharp voice. "State your business on Fangshade land, stranger!""Please! Help me!" I screamed out loud, making my raspy voice sound frail, terrified, and breathless.I stumbled forward,

Dorian’s POVI stood outside Lillian’s locked door for several long minutes, my hand raised to knock, my mouth open to call her name and beg her to listen. But I couldn’t do it. Lillian’s POVI woke up to my phone buzzing on the nightstand, the screen glowing in the pre-dawn darkness. My hand reached for it automatically, still half-asleep, and I squinted at the message that had just come through from an unknown number.“Two days left.”Just those three words, but they hit
