It has been ten minutes after Mara brought the cat to the doctor. The whole time she was waiting, her mind was a mess. Her mind went back to the state of the cat when she first found it. How could such a thing happen? Why was the cat badly injured? Who were the culprits? She clenched her fists and stared hard in the open air.

“Ms. Anderson?” The doctor appeared in his white coat. His face was unreadable as he approached her.

She stood abruptly. “Doctor, how’s the condition of the cat?”
