4. Love or Lust

Tallulah's POV

“Tallula! It's time to wake up.”

My lips spread into a smile as his sweet voice filtered through my ears from behind me. The morning light crept through the curtains, momentarily crippling my senses. I let out a soft yawn as I pulled the sheets over my head, not wanting to wake up.

Last night was the best night of my life. The sex was great, but what made it perfect was the way he cleaned me up, making my night full of comfort and rest.

He also wrote down a drug prescription which he got from the Internet. We would visit a pharmacist early this morning to buy an after pill to prevent pregnancy. But I had begun to contemplate the idea of letting his sperm grow inside of me so I could have a little him in my womb.

“Tallula, it's time to go.” A masculine voice filled the room again, but this time, it was followed by a soft knock.

I recognized the voice, and that's definitely not the voice of my prince charming. Why is he knocking at my door?

I turned around to see what I thought would be the man I had sex with hours ago. But instead, I stared into an empty bed. Where did he go?

“We need to go, your mum just called. She's dying to see you.”

I know that soothing tone. It was Sir Micheal, the driver they had sent for me yesterday. I remember him driving us into this hotel last night, and we agreed to wait for the snow whiteout to pass, before heading to my new family's house.

But that's the least of my worries. What's really bothering me right now is the absence of the man whom I gifted my virginity to. Where's the handsome fellow who whispered how much he loved me as he slowly slammed his dick into my tight pussy?

He said he wanted me forever, and I held onto his arm, letting him shoot his loads into my cunt.

I jolted out of the bed and rushed to check the bathroom, but he wasn't there either. My gaze rested on the empty bath in which we had rubbed out naked bodies as we washed off the sex sweat.

This can't be happening. I must be stuck in a nightmare, and he was out there in the real world, waiting for me to wake up to him.

“Are you alright? What's going on in there?” The driver asked, “Can I come in?”

I managed to catch my breath before replying to him so he wouldn't suspect anything.

“It's alright Sir Micheal, I'm just dressing up. I'll be out in a minute.”

“Oh, alright. Hasten up little one, I'll be in the parking lot.” I could hear his voice fading away, but he stopped at some point.

He sighed.

“And for the last time, it's Micheal, not Sir Micheal. You're gonna get me in trouble if you keep calling me that.”

“I'm sorry Sir Micheal. I mean… I'm sorry Micheal.”

He chuckled.

“Your mum raised you well. That's probably why my boss loves her.”

His steps became indistinct, leaving me to my thoughts which were filled with panic. My mum's gonna kill me. How could I be so naive?

I didn't want to believe that his confessions and compliments were all lies to get me in bed with him. Even after we fucked, he still cared for me by making a hot bubble bath, and he bath me in it, like a baby. He couldn't have been pretending all through the night.

Tears began to roll down my cheeks when I realized that I had done the one thing I promised my mum I would never do. And now, I was going to face her knowing she would clearly see the signs from a mile away. But there was no time to soak and sob. I needed to kill what's left of him in my womb before it's too late.

I jolted into the bathroom to clean myself up, and minutes later, I was clad in a white dress, ready to depart from this hotel that was attempting to ruin my life. I wouldn't let that happen, I'm not my mother.

As I packed my mini suitcase, I noticed a silk cloth slightly tucked underneath the bed. That isn't mine. I stooped low to grab the sky blue shirt, assessing its sleeves and collar.

What kind of asshole leaves his shirt behind after sex? Was he in such a hurry to flee from the crime scene?

He must not have gotten far away with that hot body. I'm going to try to find him before I leave this hotel. I felt guilty for what I was about to do because I knew the object could haunt me forever, but I did it anyway. I tossed the shirt into my box, taking it along with me.

••••••••••

I mumbled out the prescription written on the tablets I got from the pharmacy minutes ago. I can't believe I had to lie to Micheal that I needed some pain killers for my headache.

He wouldn't stop taking glances at me through his front mirror.

“Come on, just take the pill, it's not raw coffee.” He voiced, rolling his eyes.

I shut my eyes and swallowed the pill, flushing it down with a bottle of water.

It was finally done. I had gotten rid of that brown-haired freak. If only there was a drug that could wipe out last night's memories, so he would also be killed off from my mind and heart.

“We're here.” Michael voiced, interrupting my chain of thoughts.

I looked up to see the huge gate ahead of us, admiring its design. He made a phonecall, and seconds later, the electric gate swung open, revealing its vicinity.

“Fuck.” I whispered at the sight of the gigantic mansion. Its structure, color and roofing matched perfectly. I wondered how many tens of rooms were contained in this huge house, but I would soon find out.

When we parked at the garage, I sighted a woman dressed in a colorful nightgown, sprinting towards me. Wait, that can't possibly be…

“Mum?”

“Lula!” She squealed, beaming with smiles.

I immediately squeezed the pack of pills into my purse with a happy expression playing on my face. She leaped into my arms, hugging me tightly and I reciprocated her joy. It's only been six months since I left her but it felt like I hadn't seen her in six years.

She was already in her late thirties but she was looking beautiful as ever. Her vibrant skin radiated as the morning sun shone upon her, highlighting her feminine features.

“Oh, Lula, I've missed you so much.” She announced, hugging me again.

“I've missed you too mum. You look different. I almost didn't recognize you.”

“Yeah, you're new stepdad has been treating me really well.” She said, “Come on, they've been waiting for you.”

She pulled out her elbow, which I immediately took. And arm in arm, we walked down the driveway towards the tall building.

When we got to the door, she casually pushed it open. I gasped when my eyes sighted the spacious living room. There was a large television pinned to the wall along with other large pictures and designs. And the P.O.P ceiling was partly painted with a chocolate color that had me drooling.

“Tallula!” I heard a loud scream.

“Welcome home!”

It was my new step sister. Her voice was filled with indescribable joy like she had been waiting her entire life to meet me. She hopped like a little child before jumping at me with open hands. As I hugged her, I could feel the same happiness emerging from within.

“I can't believe I finally have a sister. We're going to be best friends.” She squealed.

“You're Katherine, right?” I asked.

“Yeah, I am. But I go by Kathie.” She rolled her eyes, “Come with me, I'll show you to your room. It's right next to mine.”

I looked up the staircase where we were headed to see a tall figure who seemed to have been watching us for a while.  As quickly as I sighted him, he turned away, rushing up the stairs. My mom said Mr Winston had a son named Marcus. Could that be him?

“Hey Mark! Aren't you gonna say hello to my new best friend, and your new step sister?” Kathie asked, and he stopped in his strides.

Wait a minute… Mark is short for Marcus. Why does he have the same name as the man I fucked last night? Could it be a coincidence?

He was the same height, and that brown hair I clenched severally as we exchanged kisses looked exactly like the one in front of my eyes.

He slightly tilted his head, and without looking at me, his husky voice gave me all the features I needed.

“Hey Lula.” He said as if he was forced to speak.

I immediately identified him as the man I had slept with at the hotel hours ago. My trembling fingers clenched my purse, and my feet froze. I couldn't move. Kate's voice faded to my ears as my mind struggled to process what was happening, until…

“Lula, are you alright? You seem pale, what's up with you?”

It was my mum. At that point, I knew I was screwed. I've always failed to hide the truth from her, and from the look on her face, I could tell that she was already suspecting something.

How do I tell her I lost my virginity to a random stranger? And to make matters worse, that stranger was actually my step brother who was in the room with us.
