Chapter 18 - Rejection

It has already gotten dark.

I was only supposed to stay a couple of hours with the girls, but I completely forgot the time. Victoria and I got a lot of studying done for our exams. And Sally has been busy making Thail uncomfortable.

She is doing it now too.

"You have such huge arms," Sally squeezes Thail's bicep as we head for the cars, and I stifle a laugh.

Thail isn't the kind to bark anyone away. Instead of telling Sally to release him, his pleading eyes land on me. He is practically begging me to save his big demon ass.

I sigh.

What don't you do for your daddy demon?

"Sally, no offense, but just because Thail is as tame as a kitten doesn't mean he likes you clinging to him."

Sally pouts at me. "I'm just touching him! I've never felt muscles like these, and didn't you say he wasn't your boyfriend? Also, the man can speak for himself, Talia," she looks up at the giant demon. "Right, Thail?"
