Museum

“So Bryan, what exactly is this movie about? I really don't know.” Ashley said as she took a spoonful of chicken soup.

“Oh, it's about a girl who got sold to a mafia lord at a young age and was submissive to him.” Bryan replied and he nodded.

“He is lying, we are both vampires and he is also a witch and we are best friends.” Hayden said and Bryan laughed.

“Do you really think I will believe that? I am not dumb.” She scoffed.

“Oh, you are so dumb.” Hayden said and she glared at him.

“We have a list of things to do today, so get ready.” She said and he sighed.

“I think I have to go now.” Bryan said standing up and Hayden glared at him.

“Okay, bye Bryan.” Ashley said and he smiled before walking out.

“So, what is on your list?” He asked and she smiled.

“Hold on, I will go get the book. I dropped it in the game room yesterday.”

She stood up and walked out of the living room, she rushed to the game room and picked up the book then rushed back to the dining.

“Okay, so what we have to do today is, we have to go to the Halland’s museum and after that, we will stare at the sunset together.” She read it out from her book and Hayden scoffed.

“Why will I want to go to a museum and stare at the sunset?” He asked.

“Because it is what normal people do.”

“Well, I am not normal.”

“Remember this is all part of the review?”

“Okay, fine. Are you ready?” He asked and she giggled.

“Sure.” She replied and stood up, he also stood up and they walked out together, they entered one of the cars and Ashley turned to Hayden.

“Hayden, are we supposed to use Empire’s cars?”

“How else are we supposed to get to the museum?”

“I thought we were going to take a taxi.”

“No.” He replied and drove out of the garage.

“Won't Bryan get mad?”

“Ugh, we have the right to use the things in the house.” He replied and he nodded. After driving for a while, they got to the museum and they both walked out of the car.

They got to the entrance and Ashley groaned seeing the closed sign.

“What is the problem?” He asked seeing her look.

“The museum is closed till next week.”

“Okay then, we will be back next week.” Hayden shrugged and head towards the car.

“No, I don't want to come here next week, I have other things on my list to do next week, I want to go in now.”

“But it's closed, what do you want to do about it?” Hayden scoffed and she sighed sadly.

“Why the sad look?”

“Nevermind, you just won't get it. You never will.” She replied and head towards the car but Hayden stood in front of her.

“What’s wrong?”

“I want to go in there, I really want to but it's locked. I just want to explore that place, I know I still have a lifetime but I want to do it now that I have someone with me.”

“Oh, is it that big of a deal?”

“Yes but it's fine, I will do it some other time.” She said and was about to go into the car but Hayden held her hand.

“What?” She asked.

“I kind of lost the keys to the car, I think it fell, can you help me check under the car?” He asked and she nodded.

“Yeah, sure.” She replied and Hayden turned to the museum, he suddenly jumped over the fence and unlocked it. He came out through the entrance and leaned on the gate.

“Hayden, I can't find anything... “ Ashley trailed off seeing Hayden leaning on the gate.

“Oh my God!” She exclaimed.

“Hey, look, it's opened.” He said sarcastically and Ashley gasped and looked around to see if anyone was looking.

“How the fuck did you get it opened?” She asked and he shrugged.

“You coming?” He asked as he walked in and Ashley rushed after him, she giggled and he rolled his eyes.

“So what is so fun about this place?” He asked and she giggled.

“Everything!” She yelled and stared at the paintings.

They kept staring at paintings and she kept taking pictures of them.

“Are you having fun?” He asked and she nodded happily.

“Weird.” He muttered and she shrugged. He suddenly walked to a painting and stared at it, it was the painting of a queen in tears and Hayden ran his hands through it.

“Pasiphaë.” He muttered and Ashley turned to him.

“What did you just say?” She asked as she walked him.

“Nothing.” He replied and she also stared at the painting.

“Do you want to know the reason for her tears in this painting?” Ashley asked as she took a picture of it.

“Yes.”

“Okay, her name was Pasiphaë and she was born over a thousand years ago, she was a princess who was supposed to get married to the love of her life but due to him being a commoner, the king (her father) forbid the love but they were so in love with each other so she went against the king's orders and got married secretly to the commoner. The king got annoyed when he found out so he ordered for the commoner to be hanged and he was, the princess couldn't bear the pain of watching her lover die so she committed suicide, some artists just made the painting since it was a sad story.”

“That’s a lie, that was not what happened.” Hayden said and she scoffed.

“Like you know anything.”

“I know and one thing for sure is that the commoner killed her because she possessed some powers beyond what she could handle so he became selfish and wanted the power so he killed her. The commoner was not really one, he is of royalty but he lied to her so he could get her powers.”

“And how do you know that?” She asked and he shrugged.

“I read it in a book.” He replied.

“Oh, okay then, let us move on.” She giggled and ran to a sculpture.

“I know because I killed Pasiphaë.” He muttered and walked towards her.
