ASHER'S POV
The year was 790AD. It was a lot different back then to what it is now. No proper houses, or cars. Food and clothing was much different aswell. No phones or tablets for the kids to play on to keep them occupied just normal kid stuff to do like climb trees, run around. Also we had to learn how to defend ourselves it was a time when war's could always break out. So me and my two brother's had to learn how to fight. My sister had to learn how to cook and clean back then woman looked after the kids and home and the men brought the food back and protected.
Wool blankets and clothing were worn as there was no heating in the house to keep us warm in the winter months. I don't remember much of my human life really as it was so long ago. I just remember loving my family so much that I would do anything for them.
When I was thirty one, that is it that is the year that I was made a vampire. I had been for a cup of mead and was on my way back to m
Just a short chapter I couldn't finish the book without a little bit of background on Asher.
"If you keep holding me that tightly, I might stop breathing again." Arizer says to me.In shock I drop him back down and his head hits the floor."Ow""I'm sorry, I'm so sorry." I then jumped on him and gave him a hug, this time one that wasn't going to break him. I didn't ever want to let go. He hugged me back. Nico and Annabelle sat at the side with huge, teeth showing grins. Then they joined in and there was a massive pile on."Not that I'm not loving all the attention, but can someone get the big wolf off me." Arizer joked to Nico." You can take it, carry on and I'll jump on you." Nico replies chucking.Annabelle and Nico back off him. I don't."Not that I'm not greatful, but can someone tell me how I am alive." Arizer says while looking at me.I sit up now and so does Arizer."Well I kind of had an idea from Asher." His face drops as he remembers Asher."I th
My cup smashed to the floor as coffee poured everywhere as I shot back as fast as I could until my back hit the fridge. The door swung open so hard that all the glass shattered against the wall. He stood at my door, a tall man with dark hair and piercing brown eyes. A long black leather coat billowing at his ankles from the harsh winds. “Oops I didn’t mean to open it that hard.” He said “What do you want” I managed to stutter. “Keira, we have something very important to talk about, but right now is not that time and this is definitely not the right place, we need to go somewhere safe now”.
I opened my eyes and I was in someone’s bedroom. Red wallpaper with flowers decorated the walls and a low light shone through the room. The bed was huge with a canopy above the bed. I sit up and brush the hair out of my face. Everything that happened yesterday came back to me. I take a deep breath and wonder what is going to happen next. I grab my bag that has been left at the side of the bed and take out my hairbrush. Thanks to Ashers running my hair is a mess, I take my time brushing my long brown hair (wishing for once that it was a lot shorter), while trying to clear my head. I then dare to make my way out of the room, I go down a narrow corridor that leads to the top of a grand staircase. I slowly go down the steps listening out to hear if anyone is there.
Keira was stunned, she didn’t know what to say. “So do you believe the prophecy is about you? And how much everyone need you to fulfill it?” Asher questioned. “It is a lot to process, just give me a minute to take it all in”. An hour had passed in complete silence Asher thought Keria had frozen, she hadn’t moved or even blinked. As the sun rose it shone through the crack in the curtains. I watched as the dust motes danced in the light. The past few hours seemed to last forever, it had only been four hours since Asher turned up at my house and yet so much had happened and my life would no longer be the same again. How was I supposed to get my head around the fact that I was meant to inherit all these powers? How would I be able to control them all? At the age of twenty I didn’t expect my life to be turning out like this.
We were surrounded by men and women of all different ages all carrying spears, axes, swords and bow and arrows all pointing straight at us. Asher spoke loudly and clearly. “ We are here to speak to your Lord Keltris. I bring Keira Kennedy, she is the one the prophecy speaks of. We have come for the transfer and the guidance of your people and I ask that you let us through.” The group started mumbling and whispering between themselves. A loud booming voice then echoed through the tree’s. “I am Prince Folen Keltris , I will escort you to my father Lord Folas Keltris .” “Let them through”. The elves instantly went silent and split straight down the middle instantly. A tall elf with long blond hair down to his waist, sharp blue eyes that were so bright that you could see t
I felt a hand land on my shoulder, but I couldn’t get enough composure together to shake it off or to find out who had put it there.“Keira, do not fear I am ready to do this for my people as well as everyone else. I do not fear it. I embrace it knowing that I will be one of the reasons that you can rid this world of the monstrosities that are plaguing our world.” Prince Folen spoke calmly“How can I take them from you knowing that I will take your life to do so? If that is the sacrifice that these powers require then how can they possibly do any good when the first act is evil?”“I do not know the answer to those questions, all I know is that, that is what is required it is not the act of death that is needed to pass the powers over, but once the power has left the body, the body can not survive the loss.”“ But why does it have to be you? Yo
I woke up as the sun shone through the very thin curtains, glad that with the day I had ahead of me that I didn't have a nightmare last night. To say that I was more than nervouse was a major understatement. I was scared of what I was having to do. I also felt bad because no matter how bad I was feeling Prince Folen must be feeling worse knowing that as soon as dark came and Asher could be there that the ceremony would start, so he only had about seven hours left to live.I made my way out of the bed and got ready. I didn't need to wear anything special for the ceremony so I just put on some of my favourite Blue skinny jeans, my green vest top and a green cardigan. I brushed my hair into a long ponytail at the top of my head and put on my favourite knee length boots.I came out of my bedroom and thought I would sgtart to have a little look around before finding if there was any food around.I came out of the big wooden doors and looked around in t
