Chapter 16

Caleb woke up the next morning and he thought for sure that his head was about to split open. He fumbled his way to his bathroom and found some ibuprofen. He turned on the water in the sink and threw a handful of ibuprofen into his mouth and stuck his head down to the faucet and got a mouthful of water and swallowed the pills. He turned off the water and went over to the toilet to relieve himself, trying not to throw up in the process. He washed his hands and went back into the bedroom. He realized that he had left his sliding glass door open. He walked over to the door and was about to close it when he seen the bottle of whiskey still sitting on the outside table. The hell with it, he thought to himself. He picked it up and took a big drink.

He shut the door and walked over to his bed and picked up his phone, it was still off. He powered it back on and as soon as it powered up, it started chiming with message after message. Most of them were from Alaina, a few were from Drew and Lar
