JASMINE’S POV

I look at the beautiful middle-aged female in front of me, rendering my complete focus to her to avoid thinking about the unbelievably frustrating male in front of me.

I left his room with an ache in my heart, a feeling I’ve never had before and it left me disoriented as I recollected every word he said to me and the implication it has on our relationship.

“ I’m surprised you remember me, we didn’t even meet officially.” Sharain says to me with an impressed smile on her face.

“ I remember seeing you but I’m not sure where or when.” I say to her completely ignoring Noah’s overwhelming presence in the room.

His words sliced through me like a razor-sharp blade, and his lack of trust in me was like a painful jab in my heart.
