Ever since Kara had found out about Connor and me, she'd been constantly giving me a death stare at school.
I immediately looked away from her, terrified as I went into my locker.
Receiving Connor's love, I had obtained the worst enemy: a werewolf that hated my guts for dating her kind.
After the horrible incident I had with Kara in the hallway, I tried to avoid meeting her there at all costs. I exited the bathroom, walking as fast as I could along the hallway back to my second session.
As I'm about to walk past the exact place she'd stopped me before bringing me to the top of the roof to throw me off. I froze at an inhuman touch.
"Will you go out on a date with me this Saturday?" I heard Connor behind me, and I'm no longer terrified.
I spun around, smiling to meet his eyes.
"Yes," I answered.
"Great, I'll pick you up at noon." He was beaming back at me.
We stood staring into each other's eyes, remaining to smile.
The school bell rang, and I loathed that it did, disrupting my time with Connor.
It was the only time I had spent with him within the day.
Connor suggested that we should keep our distance for a while, since Kara knows about us.
I missed him visiting me at my apartment.
Though he hasn't done so for a day, it felt like years.
"I've got to go," Connor said and walked off hurriedly before the hallway was burst with students.
"See you on Saturday," I said, standing there watching him as he left.
Turning around, my smile faded when I saw his triplet brother and Kara striding confidently behind them. While the triplet walked past me as if I didn't exist, Kara gave me a loathful stare that made me flee from her right away.
*******
It's 9 am, and I'm eager for it to be noon, eager to go out on my first date with Connor.
In the morning, an hour before our date, Connor called.
"Our date plans have changed," he said, and I felt as if my world had shattered.
"Why?" I asked, disappointed.
"My mom had found out about us. She had finally sensed through my overpowering scent of maple tree that I was hiding something, your scent."
As I'm panicking that it was the end of our relationship. He calmed me down, finishing his sentence, "She wants to meet you."

I'm wearing blue jeans, a white top, and white sneakers when Connor finally arrives at my apartment.
Excitedly, I ran from my window to meet him downstairs. I missed a step going down the porch stairs. As I was about to fall on my face, Connor sped towards me and lifted me into his arms.
I looked at him, forever stunned by his powerful abilities.
He smirked at me and then gracefully put me down as if I were an expensive ornament made from glass.
After passing what seemed like a thousand different types of trees. We were now at his white mansion with large dark glass windows. The sides and back of it were surrounded by trees, blocking out most of the sun's light, making the place seem much dimmer.
Connor walked around the car to open the door for me, and I began to get really nervous knowing his family was inside waiting to meet me.
Connor senses that I am nervous, and he wraps an arm around me.
"You don't need to worry," he comforted me.
"I forget I can't hide anything from you," I said, trying to joke under the overwhelming nervousness.
He kissed me on top of the head as we were almost near the house.
"Connor, wait," I stopped him.
"What is wrong?" He turned towards me.
"Is there more about your kind that I should know before we go inside?" I said freaking out. As an introvert, I was not used to meeting new people, and now werewolves.
"Other than what you've told me about your kind. What do I need to know about your family before I go in to meet them?"
"My mom is 550 years old, Dad is a 1000, sister 150, and her mate is 670; and as for me, Kara, and the triplets, we are the age you assumed us to be, 18 and 16."
I nodded, stunned and also saddened at the thought that one day Connor will outlive me and fall for someone worth his beautiful appearance.
Will he ever remember me when, one day, I grow old and die?
I don't ever want to leave his side.

Bryson isn’t at school. Thankfully, I don’t have to sit with Elena and his friends, especially after what had happened to her today.Elena stood up from her lunch table.“Whosoever throws the bucket of mess unto me. I promise that when I find out who you are, I will ruin your life, and you will wish you were never born!” She shouted angrily.Shortly, I got a text message from Connor. I opened it to read.Bear, coyote filth, and skunk pee, she should say —he’d texted what was inside the bucket he'd thrown on Elena.I burst out into laughter.Immediately, I stopped laughing when I noticed Elena, who was now staring at me furiously. My heart started racing as she began to march toward my table, quickly.“Who are you laughing at, loser?” She asked with great fury, looking down at me, frozen from fear in my seat.I became silent, too afraid to speak.“It must be you who had done it to me,” she then said and extended a hand to grab me by the hair. I closed my eyes, scared, and I opened them
I woke up to the aroma of fried egg wafting into my room.I came out of bed, descending the stairs into the kitchen.I smiled when I saw Connor at the stove making a sandwich: adding fried egg, lettuce, slices of tomato, and finally a slice of cheese. He lifted his head, smiling back at me."Breakfast is ready." He poured out a cup of tea, placing it next to the sandwich on top of the kitchen counter.Immediately, I went to sit in the counter chair.I picked up the sandwich, ready to take a bite, but I became nervous to see Connor watching me."Aren't you going to eat as well?" I asked, beaming shyly."I prefer to watch you eat," he said.Nervously, I took the smallest bite, trying to eat as decently as I could before him.I stopped chewing as Connor wiped away melted cheese from my lips."Remember, I have a surprise for you," he said, licking the cheese from his finger.I stared hard at him, shocked at what he'd just done. I've never imagined a day Connor would eat cheese from my lip
Connor brought me to my mom's house. He got out of the vehicle to open the door for me."Do you want me to follow you inside?" he asked, holding the door for me to come out.No, I shook my head and stepped out.Forced to remember everything bad that happened here. Every painful word, hateful stare, and being ignored. I wish I'd told Connor yes when I got inside.Entering my room, all of those painful memories vanished when I went in to see Connor."I couldn't let you be here alone," he said, and I was glad he didn't listen to me.I didn't have many clothes, so it was an easy pack for me.Connor dashed through the window to meet me outside while I hurried back down the stairs.I met my aunt along the way. She was surprised to see me with my suitcase."Where are you going?" she asked."Somewhere that I don't feel like crap," I responded, upset. She ran behind me as I exited the house to see Connor standing next to his black Jeep.As soon as Connor saw me, he came to take the suitcase."
Out of nowhere, I felt warm arms wrapped around me, and I was backed into the forest extremely fast.I hugged my savior, sobbing hard.Connor held my shoulder, prying me away from his tall and sturdy body.He sees my burst lip."Who did this to you?" Angrily, his eyes began to glow a bright yellow."My mother." More tears came down as I responded."She will pay for what she has done," he said in a monstrous voice that scared me.He started to turn away from me."No, Connor," I stopped him, holding him by the hand.As I did, he never turned to look at me, consumed in anger."Though my mom is verbally abusive towards me. It was the first time she had hit me because she was drunk. Please don't hurt her for my sake," I pleaded.Although it was the first, her hurtful words thrown at me felt the same today as her hit.As much as I didn't want Connor to harm my mom. I was more concerned about him. He'd already sacrificed his true identity to save me and also broken a forbidden rule by being
Exiting the school I went straight towards the school bus. As I did, I heard a loud vrooming sound of a motorbike. I turned towards the sound to see Connor sitting on his motorbike; both of his hands were on the handlebars, and he was wearing his helmet. His head faced me, and though he wore his dark helmet, I could feel his powerful gaze all over my skin, indicating that he was looking at me. The sound of the bike was his way of gaining my attention.I stifled a smile, noticing that Kara was in the jeep behind him, not wanting her to sense that something was going on between Connor and me.The moment I got into the bus, I was unable to hold back my smile. Happily, I smiled along the ride.A few students started to look at me, and I bit my lower lip to stop myself from smiling. When it came to my stop, I continued to smile on my way to my house.Happiness vanished when I got into the house to see my mother drunk with a large bottle of red wine, sitting on the sofa in the living room,
