I had a splendid dream of sitting on a cliff. The moon shone ten times brighter than it ever did on any other night, and beside me was the most beautiful being, a werewolf in his human form, having only my red shawl spread across his groin.
One of his hands rested on top of mine, was so warm, and I stared at his face illuminated by the moon's sliver light.
"I'm drawn to you, Amara Lively," his lips slowly moved as he called me by my full name. I never once thought he knew.
He then smiled, and it was a hundred times brighter than the moonlight.
Finally, he turned his head to me, and I became lost in his glowing yellow eyes.
I thought it was a dream, but when I woke up, I found myself cuddling his furry and gigantic beast in a cave.

It was time for me to go home after spending the night with him. I watched as he shifted into his second striking form. It was so fast that my normal sight was unable to catch up with it. I turned my back as he was naked.
"Ready?" I heard him, and I spun around to see him having only black sweatpants on.
My eyes rose from his 8-pack to nod, and my cheeks reddened, embarrassed he'd caught me admiring his muscled, toned body.
Bridal style, he lifted me into his arms, and I was at my home faster than the blink of an eye.
I held on to him tightly as he climbed quickly toward my window, which I always forgot to close.
"How do you know where I live?" I asked, stunned that he knew without me telling him.
"I smell your scent all over it," he said, and I feel so foolish for asking him that question, knowing he's a werewolf and has the powerful ability of the beast he carries inside of him.
"Amara, are you awake?" I suddenly hear my mom's sister.
Once in a while, she would come to visit Mom and me.
"You need to hide; I'm not allowed to have a boy in my room." I was now freaking out about her catching us.
"Remember, I'm not an ordinary male," he said with a smirk, and within an instant, he was on top of the ceiling.
Stunned, I watched him holding onto the ceiling, as if he were glued to it.
Aunt Clara entered my room, and I quickly went under my sheet, hiding any signs that I was still in yesterday's outfit.
I looked at the clock on the wall as she came in, seeing it was 6:30 am.
"How was the Valentine's party?" Did you enjoy yourself?" she asked as she sat on the side of the bed.
I forgot she was coming from yesterday and had told me she would be staying here for a month until her husband and his son returned from their fishing trip.
I felt my sheet pulled back as she sat onto it, and I held it tight, praying she could get up and leave.
"It was okay, and yes. I had a lot of fun," I lied, and I looked up to see Connor's eyes glowing as he watched us and back to my aunt, panicking.
"Good." She's about to touch my face, but I shake my head for her not to.
"I'm still a bit tired from dancing all night; I want to go back to sleep," I said.
"Sure," she then gets up and leaves.
"Lock the door on your way," I told her.
When she was gone, I took the largest exhale of relief that I was stunned that the house didn't blow down along with it as well.
"Little Liar," Connor says from the roof with the cutest smirk.
I smiled back at him and watched as he jumped from the ceiling with the proudest feeling that he was mine. I was the luckiest girl to have him.
Connor fell into my bed, and suddenly my bed was broken into two with the loudest smash.
Terrifyingly, I sat up on my mattress that now lies on the floor, knowing my aunt had heard and was also stunned at his strength.
"Amara, are you okay?" I heard my aunt shouting from downstairs.
Searching for something to say, I leapt from the mattress to my feet. "Yeah, I'm fine, I just fell off the bed," I yelled.
"Okay, be careful," she yelled back in response.
"What am I going to tell her about my broken bed when she comes back to my room?" I say to Connor, panicking.
"Tell her your werewolf boyfriend broke it," he jested, pulling me before him.
I hit his chest for making a joke at a serious time, and I growled in pain.
Hitting Connor was like hitting an iron.
Quickly, he held my hand to see if his abs had hurt me. The side of my palm was now red.
Loathing what had happened to my hand, he let go of it and walked to the window, turning his back towards me.
"I'm fine; there's nothing to worry about," I said, seeing how very upset he was about it.
"Now I understand why my kind is forbidden to form any romantic relationship with a human. My love will only end up destroying or hurting you. You're too fragile for me, Amara." Sadly, he said and spun around.
The thought of losing him, even after just gaining him, was maddening. I dashed to him.
After Connor declared his love for me, he was the only one who made me feel special and want to continue living.
"No, just forget this." I hid my injured arm behind my back as I stood before him.
"After all, it was my fault. I hurt my arm against your chest." I ran a hand gently against his chest, as if it were a very sharp blade, not wanting to hurt myself again to upset him anymore.
"I should try to be more careful."
He held my injured hand far more gently than he ever did, avoiding all actions to harm me again. He kissed it softly, and I closed my eyes.
"I've got to go now; my pack must be wondering where I am after not returning last night," he said.
I opened my eyes, believing that it was my arm that made him want to leave now.
Sadly, I lowered my head, and he raised it back to him, lifting me by the chin.
"I'll call you later," he promised.
"Wait, you don't have my number." I stopped him as he was about to leap through the window.
He said my number out loud without me telling him, and I'm surprised that he already had it.
"I heard you once telling a teacher, and it has been stuck in my mind ever since," he said.
I smiled and watched him as he flashed into the woods, disappearing.
I was on cloud nine that I was about to throw myself backward onto my bed. But then I stopped myself before I could.
I stared at my bed on the floor, broken in two, worriedly.
It's Monday, the start of a new school week.As I got out of my car, Connor appeared from nowhere and pulled me towards him."I've been thinking about doing this all night," Connor said as he had me lean backward. He then kissed me.When his lips departed from mine, I saw everyone on the school compound, with shock in their eyes, gasping at us. I was more surprised than they were at Connor's action."I thought we were going to keep our relationship a secret, to not allow the werewolf councils to find out," I said."They're 30 seas away from us; why bother to hide when my family and I are the only werewolves around here?" responded Connor, coming in for another kiss.Everyone's eyes were on us when we walked into the school and along the hallways holding hands. I glimpsed Bryson with his girlfriend Elena. They both stared at us, upset.Connor and I were the talk of the school. No one could seem to believe that he and I were dating; neither did I as well."I bought something for you at
We go to his room. It has huge, dark glass windows giving a good view into the woods.I saw that his bed is just a large mattress lying on the floor."I'm tired of buying a new bed base." Connor noticed me staring at it."Why not buy a metal bed base then?" I suggested."They also break after a while," Connor said, and I am stunned by how powerful he is.We sit lowly on his mattress on the floor."Your cousin Kara and sister will never like me, will they?" I asked, seeing that they were the ones already finding it hard to accept our relationship.Connor got up from the bed, and I watched as he walked towards one of the square glass windows."My sister will eventually do it, but I'm not sure about Kara.""She isn't my cousin, Amara. She's a werewolf I saved not long ago and made a part of my family pack," he said, turning around towards me."She's in love with you, isn't she?" I had to ask, feeling there was more to her hatred of me being a human, dating Connor.Kara was the perfect ma
"Do you think your family will like me?" I asked worriedly as we were at the front door."They'll try to tolerate you and won't kill you for my sake," Connor smiled and said.Shockingly, I looked at him."Please tell me you're playing with me right now?" I asked, scared."Come on, little human, they're waiting, and werewolves do not have any patience." Connor held my hand. The moment we entered the house, I saw his entire family standing in the hallway waiting for us. I felt unbelonging and ugly. They were so beautiful, and their warm skin gleamed a golden glow, compared to my pale skin, which makes me look like I'm always sick.My heart raced at the sight of them. I tried to calm it down, knowing they could hear it and also sense my nervousness at their presence. As Connor had warned me outside, I immediately started receiving cold stares from everyone.Firstly, Connor introduced me to his father, Alpha Valor Flaxborough. I extended a hand to shake his.As he's about to shake it with
Ever since Kara had found out about Connor and me, she'd been constantly giving me a death stare at school.I immediately looked away from her, terrified as I went into my locker.Receiving Connor's love, I had obtained the worst enemy: a werewolf that hated my guts for dating her kind. After the horrible incident I had with Kara in the hallway, I tried to avoid meeting her there at all costs. I exited the bathroom, walking as fast as I could along the hallway back to my second session. As I'm about to walk past the exact place she'd stopped me before bringing me to the top of the roof to throw me off. I froze at an inhuman touch."Will you go out on a date with me this Saturday?" I heard Connor behind me, and I'm no longer terrified. I spun around, smiling to meet his eyes."Yes," I answered."Great, I'll pick you up at noon." He was beaming back at me.We stood staring into each other's eyes, remaining to smile. The school bell rang, and I loathed that it did, disrupting my time wi
Bryson isn’t at school. Thankfully, I don’t have to sit with Elena and his friends, especially after what had happened to her today.Elena stood up from her lunch table.“Whosoever throws the bucket of mess unto me. I promise that when I find out who you are, I will ruin your life, and you will wish you were never born!” She shouted angrily.Shortly, I got a text message from Connor. I opened it to read.Bear, coyote filth, and skunk pee, she should say —he’d texted what was inside the bucket he'd thrown on Elena.I burst out into laughter.Immediately, I stopped laughing when I noticed Elena, who was now staring at me furiously. My heart started racing as she began to march toward my table, quickly.“Who are you laughing at, loser?” She asked with great fury, looking down at me, frozen from fear in my seat.I became silent, too afraid to speak.“It must be you who had done it to me,” she then said and extended a hand to grab me by the hair. I closed my eyes, scared, and I opened them
I woke up to the aroma of fried egg wafting into my room.I came out of bed, descending the stairs into the kitchen.I smiled when I saw Connor at the stove making a sandwich: adding fried egg, lettuce, slices of tomato, and finally a slice of cheese. He lifted his head, smiling back at me."Breakfast is ready." He poured out a cup of tea, placing it next to the sandwich on top of the kitchen counter.Immediately, I went to sit in the counter chair.I picked up the sandwich, ready to take a bite, but I became nervous to see Connor watching me."Aren't you going to eat as well?" I asked, beaming shyly."I prefer to watch you eat," he said.Nervously, I took the smallest bite, trying to eat as decently as I could before him.I stopped chewing as Connor wiped away melted cheese from my lips."Remember, I have a surprise for you," he said, licking the cheese from his finger.I stared hard at him, shocked at what he'd just done. I've never imagined a day Connor would eat cheese from my lip
