For as long as Ava could remember; Andrew has been the one man that has always been in love with her and secretly asks her out whenever her father was not around but she has always turned him down because of his reputation with women. A man sat in the bar of a big club, his hand constantly brought his glass of shaken margarita to his lips. Ava stood beside her window and staring into the garden and the beautiful flowers there. She heaved a deep sigh and closed her eyes, breathing in the fresh air of the day. Ava returned to her room after her father left her at the dining table like he always does. She had lost her appetite even before going over to the dining so when he left, she didn’t have to pretend that she was enjoying the meal and just pushed the plate aside and left the area. It was hard going about the day after hearing such a story. Ava has always known the woman had a bad story but she never knew it was sad as well, so sad that it makes her feel sorry for her and him. So many times she had wished there was a way to help the woman and if possible tell her that her son was alive and he was the one she had asked her about the early times they knew each other but she had decided against that immediately.
