Ava stood beside her window and staring into the garden and the beautiful flowers there. She heaved a deep sigh and closed her eyes, breathing in the fresh air of the day. She couldn’t believe that two years has passed by already, it still feels like yesterday that everything was happening. Ava returned to her room after her father left her at the dining table like he always does. She had lost her appetite even before going over to the dining so when he left, she didn’t have to pretend that she was enjoying the meal and just pushed the plate aside and left the area. It was hard going about the day after hearing such a story. Ava has always known the woman had a bad story but she never knew it was sad as well, so sad that it makes her feel sorry for her and him. Ava stuck her face to the window throughout the four hours flight, she didn’t look at the man sitting opposite her. She loved the sight of Mexico early in the morning.
