I park the car in front of 7/11 and immediately walk out para bumili ng alak. Natandaan ko kasi na naubos na pala ang alak sa bahay kaya dito muna ako sa convinience store bibili pansamantala. Tsaka, my house is only one block away from here kaya madali akong makakauwi.

While looking at the car meters away from here and from my house's gate, I felt a sudden chill from the night's breeze. It wasn't this cold earlier, I told myself. Kaya napatingin ako sa wrist watch ko.
