Dylan's POV

As the days passed, I found myself growing closer to Ava. She was still grieving the loss of her mother, but I could see the spark of determination in her eyes. Although, she still hadn't said much words. As a matter of factly, she had only said a few words. But it was still progress compared to that of how she had acted days before.

Presently, as we sat together in Ava's room, Ava turned to me with a look of sadness in her eyes. "Dylan, I need to tell you something," she said, her voice low as if unsure.

I nodded, wondering what she wanted to say. Nonetheless, I turned my head towards her and then asked. "What is it, Ava?" I asked, my voice soft and gentle.

Ava took a deep breath, her eyes locked onto mine. It looked like whatever she was about to say was really heavy and she didn't know just how to put it. She fell silent, her head hanging low. I could sense her nervousness even from where I sat.
