From the corner of my eye, I see Lilli approaching Anton’s body and I watch her curiously while I hold Rayne who is still clutching onto me, her face buried in my chest. Lilli places her ear to Anton’s chest and listens for a moment before she sits up abruptly and uses a dagger from her pocket to cut her palm.
