“Mrs. Devia, from this moment on, you are reassigned to office service staff. Your position as manager has already been replaced!”

I had just stepped into the office building, clutching my presentation files tightly, when that cold voice greeted me. Argantara’s personal assistant stood in front of me, his face stiff, his eyes avoiding mine.

I froze for a few seconds. My breath caught. “What did you just say?” I asked, my voice trembling yet firm.

The assistant lowered his head, clearly afraid of my reaction. “Starting today, you are officially transferred. The product manager position is now held by someone else.”

The files almost slipped from my hands. “How could this happen? The product launch is just around the corner! Why am I suddenly being sent to… office service?”

I pressed the last words bitterly. Office service? That was the lowest position of all. After five years of hard work—late nights, endless ideas, leading my team—now I was being thrown aside like trash?

A soft laugh echoed behind me. I turned quickly.

“Devia, you must be shocked, aren’t you? Why you’ve suddenly been demoted to office staff?”

I knew that voice. Sweet, yet dripping with venom.

Revania.

The woman I once suspected of being the ghost inside Argantara’s heart. His first love. And now she stood there, elegant in a white blazer, her hair tied neatly, her sly smile making my blood boil.

“What are you doing here, Revania?” I demanded, struggling to control my anger.

She walked closer, her steps graceful, as if the marble floor was her runway. Leaning close, her whisper stabbed my ear.

“Of course… I came to take back what was mine, what you stole five years ago.”

I stiffened. My eyes snapped to hers. “Yours?”

She smirked. “Argantara. And now… this manager’s chair.”

A bitter laugh escaped me, though my chest burned. “Don’t be ridiculous. I earned this position with my own hard work. Not by seducing a man or clinging to the past.”

Revania chuckled, her voice sharp. “Oh, Devia… still so naïve. Do you really think the business world is only about hard work? No. It’s about power. And right now, I’m on the stronger side.”

My eyes narrowed. “You underestimate me, Revania?”

She lifted her chin arrogantly. “Not underestimate. Just knowing… you won’t last. The launch is coming, and you won’t be the one handling it. Because now, it’s my responsibility.”

My chest tightened, but I couldn’t show weakness. I stepped forward, standing face-to-face with her. “Then we’ll see who falls first. You… or me.”

Our gazes locked, sharp and blazing, like two swords colliding.

Argantara’s assistant, uneasy, tried to cut in. “Mrs. Devia… I’m only following orders. Please don’t blame me.”

My eyes shot to him. “Whose orders?”

He swallowed hard. “Mr. Argantara’s…”

Rage flared in my veins. So this was all… my husband’s command?

Revania chuckled at my reaction. “See? Even Argan no longer believes in you. You were nothing more than the wife he was forced to marry, Devia. Nothing more.”

My fists clenched tight. I wanted so badly to wipe that smug smile off her face—but I restrained myself. That was exactly what she wanted.

“Listen carefully, Revania.” My voice was low, but laced with steel. “I will not back down. That manager’s chair, that position—I built it with blood and tears. If you think you can tear me down easily, you’re gravely mistaken.”

Revania folded her arms, her eyes glinting with cruel satisfaction. “We’ll see about that.”

---

That day, I was truly forced into a new room. From a manager’s glass-walled office, I was shoved into a tiny corner behind the pantry.

An old desk, a rickety chair, and a gray uniform awaited me.

I stared at them, my hands trembling. “This… is humiliation.”

My coworkers stared, whispering among themselves.

“Isn’t that Mrs. Devia, Mr. Argan’s wife?”

“Yeah, they say she’s just a staff servant now.”

“No wonder. Revania fits the manager’s chair so much better. She has class.”

I gritted my teeth, swallowing the tears burning my eyes. No. I would not let them see me weak.

As I was about to sit, the door opened again. And there she was—Revania. This time holding a thick stack of files.

“Devia,” she said with mocking sweetness. “Oh, sorry… I should call you by your new title. Servant Devia.”

My eyes locked on hers, cold. “What do you want now?”

She tossed the files onto my desk, scattering papers across the floor on purpose. “These reports. You’ll handle them. Because even if your rank has dropped, you can still serve me.”

I stood, glaring at her without flinching. “Don’t be too confident, Revania. The fight has only just begun. And I won’t let you win so easily.”

She smirked, leaning closer to whisper. “You’ll lose, Devia. Because this time, I have everything. The position, the power, even Argan’s love.”

The words hit me, but I kept my face unreadable. Let her feel victorious now. Because I knew—one misstep would be the very weapon I’d use against her.

She walked away with a sharp laugh that echoed in my ears.

I closed my eyes for a moment, drawing in a deep breath. Then whispered to myself,

“I’ll prove it, Revania. I’ll prove it to Argan. No one will take me down so easily.”

I bent down to gather the scattered papers. But when my eyes caught one particular document—my breath stopped.

The night air was heavy inside the Wright mansion.Silence filled the corridor as Argan approached the balcony where Revania stood, pretending calm while holding a cup of jasmine tea.The moonlight caught the faint tremor in her hands.“Reva,” Argan said softly, his voice steady but sharp enough to cut through the air.She turned, smiling the way she always did — gentle, sweet, calculated.“Yes, love?”He didn’t smile back. Instead, he extended a white envelope toward her. “You might want to explain this.”Her brows furrowed as she accepted it, feigning confusion. “What’s this?”“Open it.”Revania tore the seal with slow fingers. Inside were printed screenshots of her text messages, audio transcripts, and transaction records. The color drained from her face the moment she saw the name Ratna – Pharmacist. She looked up, but Argan’s eyes were unreadable.“I got that earlier this evening,” he continued. “Anonymous sender. But I recognize the voice in the recording.”Revania’s breath hitc

The Wright mansion was glowing with golden light that evening, but beneath its polished surface, tension brewed like a storm.Revania sat in the living room, wearing a soft white dress and a fragile smile. Her hand rested protectively on her stomach as Argan entered, his expression still dark from the confrontation earlier.“Are you feeling better?” he asked, his voice tight but polite.Revania looked up, eyes shining with practiced vulnerability. “A little. The doctor said the baby’s heartbeat is stable. I was so scared, Argan… I thought I’d lose everything.”Argan sat beside her, avoiding her gaze. “You should rest more. Stress isn’t good for you or the baby.”She reached for his hand, squeezing it softly. “I know. I just wish Devia would stop interfering in our lives. I’m trying to move forward, but she keeps trying to destroy what we have.”At that, Argan’s jaw tightened. “Enough about Devia.”Revania blinked in surprise. “Why? You used to defend me every time I brought her up.”A

“Revania almost lost her life because of you!”Argan’s voice thundered across the hospital corridor. His face was red, veins tense on his neck, his eyes filled with anger — and confusion.Devia stood still, hands clenched at her sides, her eyes red but cold. “You’re shouting at the wrong person, Argan. I didn’t do anything to her.”“You expect me to believe that?” he snapped. “She almost lost the baby! How could you even—”“I didn’t touch her!” Devia cut in, her tone sharper than glass. “If you would stop worshipping that woman for a second, you’d realize she’s playing you like a fool!”Revania, lying on the hospital bed behind Argan, gave a faint groan — the kind of pitiful sound that begged for pity. “Argan... please. Don’t fight because of me,” she whispered weakly, clutching her stomach. That single sentence was enough. Argan’s expression softened immediately. He turned back toward her, brushing her hair gently. “Don’t talk, Reva. Just rest, okay? I’m here.”Devia could only laugh

“Why does she still dare to smile in the same hospital as me?”Revania’s voice trembled with barely contained rage. Her sharp eyes pierced through the window glass as she watched Devia walking out of the examination room, holding an ultrasound result in her hand.Devia looked calm — too calm. Her face even radiated something that made Revania want to scream: happiness.Happiness for what? Because Argan still cared? Or because she thought she could take everything back?Revania clenched her fists. “No, Devia. You won’t win against me,” she muttered coldly.A woman with faded blonde hair and a worn nurse’s uniform approached her quietly.“Mrs. Revania, I’ve prepared what you asked for. But... this is a high dose. If a pregnant woman takes it—”“That’s the point, Ratna,” Revania cut her off sharply, her tone icy and firm. “I don’t want her to have Argan’s child. Only I deserve that.”Ratna lowered her head. “If anyone finds out, I could—”Revania’s gaze turned lethal. “You need money, do

“She’s starting to suspect something.”Revania stared at her reflection in the dressing room mirror, a faint smile curving her lips. But behind that smile burned a flicker of unease. Her makeup was flawless, her dress soft and elegant — the perfect disguise for the chaos within her.“Argan… you think you can play with me?” she muttered under her breath. “No one takes anything from me — not even Devia.”Her phone buzzed on the vanity table. She picked it up and saw the name flash on the screen: Dr. Samuel.“I’ve warned you, Miss Revania,” the man’s voice was sharp. “If Mr. Argantara requests another DNA test, I can’t keep falsifying the medical data.”Revania’s breath caught. “How much do you want to stay silent?”“This isn’t about money. It’s about legal risk.”Her eyes hardened. “Then don’t blame me if your own secrets get exposed.”The call ended abruptly. She stared at the dark screen, her jaw tight. Deep down, she knew — the web of lies she had spun was starting to unravel, thread

“Mr. Argan… I— I have something you need to see.”The voice came softly, almost drowned by the footsteps of the servants cleaning up after the grand engagement party.Argan, sitting alone on the balcony of the Dirgantara mansion, turned to see a young maid — Rani — standing hesitantly in the doorway. He frowned. “What is it, Rani? It’s past midnight.”Rani swallowed hard, her hands trembling as she handed him a brown envelope.“I… I can’t stay quiet anymore, sir. It’s about Mrs. Revania. About her hospital test results.”Argan froze. His eyes immediately fixed on the envelope. He stared at it for a long moment — as if that small piece of paper could destroy every bit of certainty he’d tried to build. Before he could say another word, Revania’s sharp voice cut through the silence.“Rani!”The young maid turned pale. Revania strode quickly toward them, snatching the envelope from her hands.“How dare you!” she hissed, her eyes blazing. “Who do you think you are, sneaking into Argan’s ro
