CHAPTER 83

***Bethany’s Pov**

Waves of throbbing and nauseating pain pulsed through my stomach, and I felt as if my breakfast would come out in an instant. What if there was no way out of this agony? I knew he was a bastard but I didn’t think he would really betray me in the worst way possible!

Even without the pain, the discovery about his marriage to an Alpha’s daughter was enough to get my heart racing. I paused for a moment to consider every solution to the pain, weighing each option, and attempting to find the best one.

I grimaced as I squeezed my eyes shut tightly because my only option was to swallow the pain and ignore it as best as I could. However, I was unable, or perhaps unwilling to deal with it at the moment.

“Dear, are you alright?”

I heard Sister Theresa’s voice but I couldn’t come up with a better lie. Deep inside, I was hurting so much, but I had to force a smile. The least I could do for the kind woman was to make her worried about me when she has done so much already for my
