LOGINIt was the Saturday of my first week here, I remembered what the dragons announced on one of the assembly days, sports will be held on Saturday.
I had come to observe that the dragons were the highest ranking creatures, people naturally respected them, some say they are one of the oldest creatures and naturally created while the rest were born from magic or a curse.
I watched as Phoebe dolled herself up once again, a habit I had gotten used to, she would spend hours in the bathroom, scrub, shave and apply a whole load of make up.
Daphne was already dressed for sports, her navy blue shorts hugged her hips revealing her thick thighs but her shirt was baggy, falling over the shorts , letting it peak out.
“We're so going to be late” Daphne groaned and I pulled out my sportswear. I had just gotten out of the shower and still had my towel wrapped around me and my hair yet to dry.
I held up the grey shirt in front of me. I grabbed a sports bra and pulled the shirt on, but it hooked on my neck. I made a groaning sound as I tried to force it down but heard a ripping sound.
“D…Daphne, a little help” I pleaded and heard her mumble something under her breath.
Daphne walked up to me, standing over me and pushed the shirt down my neck, I sighed in relief and forced the rest of the material over my body.
I dropped the rest of my towel, pulling my undies up my legs and wearing the shorts which now hooked at my hips, what was with this uniform.
I looked to Daphne for help and this time she glared at me. “Why didn't you ask for your size?”
“I had no idea they'll give me something small” I argued. It was truly not my fault. I struggled trying to pull the shorts up and one of my nails broke. I muttered an ouch and pulled out my hands.
I starred at the chipped nail, I would have to cut it off. I had been keeping nails while trying to blend into the partial vampire nature, I had noticed all vampires had long nails, but theirs were a lot more study.
Daphne walked up to me and grabbed the shorts by either side. “Hold on tight” she mutters and I hold unto her neck as she forces the shorts up to my waist.
“Thank you” I muttered and she waved off and walked over to Phoebe who was drawing stars beside her eyes.
“Get your ass up!” she knocked Phoebe's head who groaned and I giggled a little.
I grabbed my trainers and began to put them on.
“Now that's a sportswear” Phoebe smiles at me, examining me from head to toe and I suddenly become conscious of how tightly the cloth hugged my body.
“Your hair” Daphne states and I brush it backwards and pull it into a ponytail. Phoebe gives me a disagreeing look but before she could protest Daphne speaks.
“Let's get moving!” She groaned heading for the door and slamming it.
“That's our cue” Phoebe giggled following her and I trailed behind the two, closing our room door.

By the time we arrive at the gym, it's crowded. A bunch of chatter is heard as people are grouped in clusters.
I look ahead and notice a bunch of people standing in the centre. Ember, a guy with golden like hair, two girls resembling twins and someone who looks like he'd rather be anywhere else, Lucian.
Ember blows a whistle rather loudly grabbing the attention of the students.
“Welcome to the third edition of sports for this semester, it could not hold last week as we were sorting things out, but now everything's ready” Ember announced in her high-pitched voice.
“Now divide into three groups according to your classes” one of the twins with black hair says.
“Today we'll be working in teams, in two's please” The other twin with whitish grey hair says.
I look at the coordinators of sports, they all have light brown eyes.
“Dragons” a voice whispers behind me and I turn and squeal, making him laugh.
I glare at the vampire who gives me a sly smile.
“Hello sweet apple, you don't like the dragons, so do I” He exclaimed like we were previously having a discussion.
“Right, they annoy me!” I suddenly spoke and turned to glare at Cillain who was grinning. He was compelling me, a trick I had come to observe that vampires use.
“What are you doing here, aren't you in your second year?” I was confused as to why he was standing with us seniors.
“Oh how you belittle me” he kissed his teeth. “I'm a senior…..I'm rather surprised you are one too” He tilted his head.
“Why?” I asked and his lips tugged.
“Well I'm over here, and you're all the way here” he mocked my height and I felt my eyelids twitch.
“I guess dhampirs grow rather slowly” he shakes his head, he knew how to provoke, a little too well.
I clenched my fists, convincing myself not to hit him.
“Height is an illusion” I grit and his smile broadens and he hums obviously not agreeing with me.
I raise my hand to smack him but he catches it and pulls it to his chest, I gasp and draw back.
“What's wrong?” He teases and I look away to hide the blush in my cheeks wanting to run away from the annoying vampire.
“Choose your partners already!” The golden haired boy shouts rather annoyed as people were still scattered.
“Can I have this one?” Cillian announces loudly and tosses his arm over my shoulders. I halt not expecting the action and turned to look at him, and he gives me a wide smile and I take note of his sharp fangs which remind me what he is.
I hear a few mutterings and force Cillian's hands away from my shoulders.
“Whatever” the golden hair boy declares and people begin to break into groups of two and I guess I'm stuck with Cillian.

It has been a week since I arrived at Bridgeford high, I've tried to avoid danger best I can. Daphne gives me survival tips everyday, while Phoebe tries to make me seduce my professor.I just left the dining room after having breakfast, the halls were buzzing with people here and there. I kept walking until I heard a scream and watched as people gathered around a particular spot.I rushed to the scene, trying to push through the crowd. Due to my frame, I was pushed every which way until I somehow made it to the front and stood my ground. I pushed in a little and found two people fighting, Rapheal and another guy. Raphael is on top the guy and he lands another punch across the guy’s jaw drawing blood.“Raph stop!” Jenna cried trying to pull him off but he ignored her, drew his hand back and landed another heavy punch. This time I hear a sound like bone cracking and I'm forced to look away.“What's going on here!” The headmistress’ voice thundered and we scattered like flies, leaving R
It's darker now and I become more conscious of my environment, what if those girls came out of the shadows again?Thankfully we safely made it to the end of the halls and unto the stairs.“Thank you sir” I said with a curt nod and he stared at me, then turned to look at the top stairs before walking away, not saying anything. My eyes darted to look in his direction to find the headmistress standing on the stairs.. “All students should be at the dining hall. Are you looking to start trouble, Miss Martins?” She asked, giving me a grim look.“No…no, of course not” I fumbled my words, if there was someone I was completely scared of, it was the headmistress.“To the dining room” she commands and I run downstairs heading towards the dining.I enter the doors and look towards the line, it's very short. I quickly join up, trying to gather my thoughts.“Three feet back” a voice said in front of me and I looked up confused and saw Raphael glaring down at me.“Three feets back” he repeats looki
I successfully made it to the second floor, the sun had already gone down and the evening breeze was cool. I stared down the hallway, a feeling of ptsd hitting me. But I knew I had to move, I already had classes here this morning, how hard could it be?I heard the clicking of a door and I froze, the hair on my skin standing.I see Mr Alister walk through the door of our classroom and he's heading straight for me. A few students are passing by, but most have retired to their rooms. My eyes meet his and he holds them, not bothering to look away. The way he stared at me, there was such a longing, if I didn't know any better, I would say it's desire. I had packed my black curly hair in a high pony tail and had Phoebe do light make up, which just consisted of powder and lip gloss, she didn't let me leave otherwise.“G…good evening sir” I greeted.“C…..Avery” he sighed and took a whiff of the air before his eyes landed back on me, the rims of his pupils glowing amber.“I wondered how long
“Take a seat anywhere, Avery” he said gesturing with his hands and I moved glad to be away from the spotlight and try to decide on the three empty seats. I spot one towards the window and hurry towards it. I recognised the face of the person sitting behind the seat, it was the guy with stormy eyes in the hallway and he eyed me warily.I sat on my seat, trying to calm my racing heart when the seat behind me screeched.“Raphael what is it?” The professor asked.“I can't sit here, change my seat” he demanded and I swallowed.“There's nothing wrong with your seat Rapheal, sit down” the professor commanded, clearly not appreciating his tone.“If you don't change my seat, I'll leave. I cannot sit here” he repeated and I scrunched my eyebrows. Did he have a problem with me?I turned to look back at him, his stormy eyes already glaring at me. He suddenly grabbed his bag and walked away, evading me totally. He walked to one of the empty seats and plops down.I suddenly feel weird and the peop
After dinner, my roommates and I began heading to the other block, along with some students, while others stayed behind. As we climbed down to the second flight of stairs, I couldn't help but stare into the hallway, all the lights were back on.“Walk fast” Daphne called in front of me and I doubled my steps to meet up.***Daphne pushed the door open as we entered our room, but Phoebe stayed outside.“I'll see you guys later” Phoebe muttered in a small voice before walking away.“What's that about?” I asked Daphne who shut the door.“Learn not to be nosy, it'll help” she scolded and I looked down embarrassed. “You'll have to keep a low profile, so people won't be too interested in you” She warned.“I know” I replied, I was a little annoyed at her tone but I had no idea what she was and I knew she was just caring for me.I sighed and tossed myself onto the bed, my bones creaked and my muscle ached and soon I embraced the darkness and slept, dreaming of monsters trying to eat me, dark s
