Fading sorrow

I walked through the kingdom with my arms chained up, dragged by the guards of the King. I strongly believe that this kingdom is ruled by the most Evil King humanity has ever seen so far. And today I have become its prisoner... I am now doing my best to not let my hopes fade away and believing one day I will be happy again by gaining freedom to live without fear.

I ran away from my home town and reached this place a year ago. I set my foot on a territory which was not mine....I knew my life would be hard, but I never knew it would turn out to be like this! But back then, the kingdom was not ruled by the present King. Ever since the present King took the throne, the lives of millions started to change into a hell.

I don't even know the King's name or even seen him, but seeing the sufferings of the people because of him and hearing about the cruel behavior of the King, made shivers run down my spine. But I never knew I would end up as his prisoner. Just like the people who suffered in this Kingdom, I too lost everything. What was once my home, got destroyed in a war two years ago. I have been on the run ever since then.

I am Ara, Cho Ara! A normal young girl enjoying my life with my family. But everything changed now, I don't have a family, home or anything. I thought I would be lost forever...that I would never find a home again.

Until one day...I met you....

I still clearly remember the first time our eyes met, the night sky was full of stars and the red moon was shining upon us, your eyes glittering in the dim light. You gave me a home again on a territory which wasn't mine. You, my lover, have given me a new life. Alas I lost your presence too! I waited for you, a year has passed and there is no sign of you. You haven't returned back to me, and I still wonder every day.... Jihun ...where are you?

Did you make it out of the war? Knowing you, you must have fought hard for your country. The thought of you haunts me every day! This is your motherland, and for that reason I accepted my fate of becoming a prisoner of this country. Because I am hoping that you are alive somewhere in this land and trying to reach me. So I'll keep on waiting and waiting until the day I can see your face again.

Till then I'll gather up all my courage, as I am walking through this path towards the King's castle and I become a slave of this Kingdom. I believe, one day we will get back what we lost once and that day you would save your motherland from the Evil King's hold to bring back peace and harmony in the Country.
