I feel sick with myself. Ashamed. I loathe the way I melted for him, the way my body betrayed every promise I made. I swore I would never let it happen again. I vowed to myself I would stand strong. And I broke it.

Now I sit here drowning in regret, suffering for a single mistake, the mistake of falling in love with Rhett Lawson.

I’ve denied it over and over, tried to convince myself I could live without him, that I could claw my way free. But my heart refuses. My body refuses. My soul refuses. No matter how much I want to stop loving him, everything inside me clings to him.

That is why I have to go.

I’m leaving. Going far away, where nothing will remind me of him, where his shadow cannot follow me. I’ve told myself this before, but something always kept me rooted. Not anymore. This time there’s no hesitation.

I’ve planned it all. Every step. And once I’m gone, I will never turn back.

Rhett Lawson will never see me again.

~Rhett~

Am I a terrible person for giving in to my desires?

~Rhett~ She’s glaring at me—anger and hatred blazing in those beautiful blue eyes. And yet, all I want is to pull her close and breathe her in. Her scent is driving me insane and the mate pull makes it worse. I can’t resist her, not even a little.“What the fuck do you want from me?” she snaps, eyes narrowing. “You follow me everywhere I go! Is it my life you want? Will you finally leave me if I die?”I don’t answer, I just stare at her. The smirk on my face won’t leave, my emotions are winning, and I’m losing control.“I’m talking to you, you asshole!” she yells.“I’ll only talk to you in private,” I say, voice low and steady.Magnus growls, his glare sharp. “Leave us!” Lucy orders.“I can’t leave you with him,” Magnus snaps.“I’m not going to bite,” I growl through clenched teeth, my glare cutting through his. “I’m sure Lucy can make her own decisions.”“Leave us,” she repeats, firmer this time. They hesitate. Then, one by one, they shoot me a final glare and walk out of the garde

~Magnus~So this is it.This Alpha! This arrogant bastard is the reason Lucy has refused to give her heart to me. After all these years of loving her, protecting her, being there for her… Another man just walks in and snatches her away? No. Absolutely not, I won’t let that happen.I’m glad she hates him. Maybe I should make her hate him more. And the audacity—the audacity—to ask for her in exchange for help?I’m not going to lie, he’s powerful. Who is he? How does he have Mindbending power? I’ve read about it in ancient texts, and heard whispers in warlock circles, but I never thought it was real. I’ve even fantasized about having it myself.Tsk. Tsk. That ability was handed to the wrong asshole. And now he wants to use it to take Lucy from me?“Mag,” Kaiyn calls, snapping me out of my thoughts.I turn. My brothers are standing there, arms folded, watching me.God. Please don’t let them tease me. Not now. Not about this, this is serious and I’m pissed.“You don’t look good,” Zayn sa

  • Fake Dating My Hockey Alpha    Chapter 79: Fates Desire

~Rhett~The moment I was told I’d be seeing Lylah, something shifted inside me. A strange, electric eagerness surged through my chest, not just to meet her, but to understand the pull that had awakened in me. It was more than curiosity. It was instinct. Some part of me whispered that our lives were about to change forever. And when her scent reached me before I even saw her, everything changed. The spark ignited. The bond came to life.Lylah is my mate.My heart swelled with pride, with joy so fierce it felt like light pouring through me. The prophecy was real. Every word of it. Except for one detail: my fated mate was living in the human world.I couldn’t wait to see her. To watch recognition bloom in her eyes. To finally stop being alone. To love without fear, without doubt. She was made for me.But I wasn’t prepared to discover that Lylah is Lucy. She’s changed—her presence, her aura, even her voice. But those eyes… those eyes never lie. They’re the same ones I’ve dreamed of. The s

I’m tense, my chest hammers as I pace back and forth, unable to calm the storm inside me. I don’t know why I’m so eager to meet this Alpha. I don’t even care what he’s here for. But something in me is pulling hard, it's a disturbing, magnetic feeling that I can’t shake.Mag assured me he’s harmless. Even though he doesn’t know who they are or what they want, he’s confident the man comes in peace. I was told this Alpha and his men helped protect the pack during the attack. That should ease my nerves, but it doesn’t.Because this feeling… is not just curiosity. It’s something deeper and I’m not ready for what it might mean.“Lucy, relax.” Mag's voice cuts through my thoughts. “If you're not comfortable with meeting him I can just send them away.”“No… that's not it.” I sigh, dropping on the chair. “I just can't wait to see who it is.”“Don't worry, Lucy, he isn't here to cause any trouble,” he says, giving me that assuring smile. “And if he is, you know I'm here to stop crap from ha

  • Fake Dating My Hockey Alpha    Chapter 77: The Bond I Fear

~Lucy~ My happy day turned bloody. Several innocent people died—all because of me. I don’t belong here. I don’t belong anywhere near living beings. I only bring danger. So I’ll leave, but this time I will not hide among others, I’ll live in isolation. That will be Atlas’s and my new reality. And there’s nothing we can do to change it. I wish I could give him a normal life. Raise him into a man like the great ones, but even if I closed my eyes and gave him away, he’d still be in danger. They’re after him just as much as they’re after me. I’m waiting for Magnus to return with answers. He promised to uncover their plans. And as much as I want to believe this has nothing to do with me… We both know it has everything to do with me. Either way, I’m leaving. “You have to stay,” Ragna’s voice echoes in my head. “You can’t leave yet.” “And why is that?” I ask, brows furrowed in confusion. “Because you have to learn to fight. You will not run from your problems again.” There’s a knock

~Magnus~ “Hm.”“What?” Zayn asks, watching me intently. “What do you make of that man?”“I doubt he knows anything about this shit.”“Oh?” Rayan’s brows lift in question. “You think they’re innocent? That man and his men appeared out of nowhere, and you think they have no role in this?” He shakes his head. “There's something about his energy…” Kaiyn says, rubbing his temples. “It's different… he isn't just an ordinary wolf. I think he must be a powerful Alpha.”Rayan scoffs. “Powerful Alpha? And we've never heard about him or his pack?”“You heard the man,” I answer, jaw tight, my patience with Rayan is already thinning. “He’s in need of help.”Rayan smirks. “What if he's hunting for Lylah?”“What are you talking about?” I snap, eyes narrowing with anger. “Why would he be here for her?”They exchange glances, amused—then burst into laughter. My jaw tightens. I see exactly what they’re doing.“Mag, why are you so jealous?” Rayan chuckles, like this is the perfect time for jokes. “I s
