Chapter 11

The sound of Michael's voice wasn't something June could easily forget after hearing it many times. It irritated her to the bones and seeing him also irritated her, the man just had a way of making her blood boil and rise.

She wasn't going to let him get in the way of what she planned to do that day so she decided to walk away and act like she just didn't hear him call for her. No matter what she was going to get her job back.

"June" Michael called and walked towards her from the other end of the parking lot. June stopped in her tracks and then turned to face his annoyingly handsome face.

"How may I help you, sir?" June's voice came out more irritated than she planned. She wasn't in the mood for any of his nonsense this night. His silence aggravated her

"I would be on my way if you have nothing to say then," June said before walking away from him. Michael stopped her from going any further by holding her hand. She dragged her hand from him with a frown

"Don't tell me you are going in there to beg for your job back June" Michael asked the question more like a statement causing her frown to deepen.

"I don't see how that is any of your business sir, considering you were the one who got me fired, you should look remorseful while talking about me losing my job," She said in anger.

"Look I'm sorry I cost you your job but I am not sorry because I think it's for the better, you get to accept my proposal without any issues." He said and June couldn't believe her ears.

"How many times do I have to tell you that I am not interested in signing that type of deal? That I slept with you because of the money that day doesn't give you the right to disrespect me this way. I would like it if you stop appearing everywhere I go sir" June said

"You won't find any job that's like mine. no one would pay you this amount I'm offering" he said with his arms crossed. June wanted nothing but to slap him once again to his senses but she had to refrain from doing such things

"If you come up to me again speaking about this ridiculously stupid deal, I won't stop myself from hitting you again sir," She said raising her voice at him. She didn't wait for his response before she left the parking lot for the club.

She couldn't believe that on the day she had planned to get on her knees and get her job back, she just had to meet someone who ruined it and get her angry. She walked into the club, ignoring the faces of both the women and the men who wouldn't stop staring at her.

She went into Stephen's office, he was counting a few stacks of money when she entered without knocking. As his eyes met hers he let out a groan. At that moment June knew it wasn't going to be as easy as she planned in her head.

"Hi Stephen," She said still standing by the door. "What the fuck are you doing in my club, Didn't I make it pretty clear that I didn't want to see you here anymore?" he yelled at her stomping his fists on the table in the process.

"I'm sorry Stephen.. you know I need this job so much and you can punish me but don't fire me," She said and Stephen laughed

"I don't have to punish you because I have already told you to get the hell out of my club, don't make me do what I would regret June Skylar," He said in anger

This wasn't working as planned, she had tried to get on his good side by begging but it wasn't going to work. Now she had to switch to her other plan unless coming here would also be in vain.

"You need me too and you know it" June started to say and Stephen stared at her in shock. "You know that no one here pleases the men the way I do, I'm a good asset to you and you can't just watch me leave. The men might act like they don't need me now but soon they would look for the masked dancer and you will lose your regulars with time. Hire me back and we will both gain from this" She said and Stephen smiled

It must be working, he was going to hire her back. He stood up from the chair and walked up to her, the smile never leaving his face. "You are right June Skylar, you are a big asset to this business," he said suddenly.

He stopped in front of her, His hands moved to touch her shoulders, and June flinched as his cold hands made contact with her skin.

"You would be a big boom to this business and I would be a fool to lose someone like you. If only you had begged, you were too proud to get on your knees and beg but I will humble you" He said as his hands moved on her shoulders in a rotating manner.

What was this man up to, she was confused

"I don't understand what you are saying. Are you giving me my job back?" She asked him

"Yes, I would give you back your job..."He began to say but June could hear the but at the back of that statement

"But, you have to earn it back." His hands moved from her shoulder to her arm, as he rubbed her skin. She pushed his hands away from her body and moved away from him.

"How should I earn it, I believe that I have proved myself to be a worthy dancer in this club, you said that I am a good asset to this club, what more must I do to earn my job back Stephen?"

"The moment you brought a stranger into my club, you broke my number one rule and so you are no longer worthy to work here, it's simply my mercy that you are standing inside this club. Now I want you to earn your place back" His hands held her arms and pulled her closer to him

"I'm sorry but I'm not interested in what you are hinting at sir, I would not sell my body to you to get this job, I refuse to be disrespected by you" Anger flooded through her veins as she spoke to him. she was fighting the urge yet again that night from slapping another man.

"You are not a virgin June. you must have slept with a lot of clients in the club, think of it as doing a little something for your boss, if you please me and do what I want, consider yourself hired" He said and pulled her close to him once again.

June struggled with him as he tried to kiss her before she finally pushed him off and slapped his face. Her eyes were filled with tears as she stared at the man who had acted as if he hated her all these years. "So you were only trying to get in my pants, is this how the other girls get to keep their jobs too, I'm not a prostitute Stephen" she yelled at him

"You will never get to work in this club or any other place for the rest of your life I will make sure that happens. How dare you lowlife stripper lift your hands to touch me" He yelled.

"Get the hell out of my office before I have you dragged out" His voice thundered and she didn't waste time staying there. She rushed out of his office before he couldn't say something else.

She held the tears back, held herself from making a fool of herself in the club, how could he suggest that she gave herself to him if she wanted her job back? he called her a prostitute and he dared to touch her. She should have given him more than a slap.

Why did she come across the wrong men, They were both trying to get in her pants but she couldn't also help but blame herself.

"God now I'm never going to get the job back". She shouldn't have gone as far as slapping him because now she was never going to get her job back. She didn't have a job to raise money for her both her mother's surgery and her sister's tuition fees.

She held the first car she came across before sinking to the ground she let the tears fall from her eyes. It was him, Michael, anytime she met him bad things always happened to her and it was all because of that stupid contract he was pestering her to sign. If she had signed the contract, She might have the money for her mother's surgery now but it wasn't something she could do just because she wanted money. Was she ready to become that man's sex mate?
