"Why do you sound like you aren't interested in seeing me?"Michael's father asked with a frown. June watched the men and instantly she knew that their relationship wasn't as strong as the bond between Michael and his daughter. She wanted nothing more than to hug Michael because he must be carrying a heavy burden on him.

"Come this way please," Michael said without emotion and walked into the house after he let June's hand go. June felt so alone while the three men stared at her.

"And who are you?" His father directed the question toward her which made her swallow her spit. How the hell was she supposed to act like herself when his father made her feel so small?

"My name is June sir," She said and he nodded.
