After staying alone for a long while, I realized William was waiting downstairs when I left the office.

I didn't know what to say when I saw him.

"Rebecca."

I gazed at William when I heard him. I had thought about his proposal all afternoon, and the answer was on the tip of my tongue, but impulsively, I blurted out that we weren't a good match. Perhaps it was because of the gusty wind.
