Lucas's pov
I heard a knock on the door.
"Lucas? You in there?" Astra's soft voice followed afterward.
"Yeah. What is it?" I asked. She peeked in.
"I want to talk to you about something. Are you busy?" she asked.
"Not at all. Come in." She shut the door behind her.
"I am not supposed to say this to you. I went to meet Jay today," she said, fidgeting.
"WHAT?" I stood up.
"Calm down and listen to me. Mom wanted me to meet him. I hate to admit it but staying away from him for too long was really hard for me too. So I went. But I hate him. You know that. I do not want to be with him and I made it clear to him. I told him that every time it starts to get painful again, I would go and look for him. The same for him too..."

Jay's pov Her eyes were slowly shutting close. My arms shook, watching the girl I love dying right in my arms. But her body still felt warm and I could feel her chest go up and down as she took heavy breaths in. "Quickly! I have to do this quickly. I don't have time!" I opened the bottle and poured the liquid into my mouth. Lining my lips on top of hers, I made her drink the antidote. Relief flooded my body as she swallowed it. I hoped I was not too late to do that. For the next half an hour, I stayed still, still holding her. Her breathing was loud and so was my heartbeat. I was way too scared. When I felt her breathing starting to get normal, I felt relief all over my body again. Outside, the war was still raging, both packs fighting with every intention to kill and die if needed. Jay's pov Don't say it! Don't say it! DON'T SAY IT!! I hoped he wouldn't say it. But I KNEW he would. Hoping was useless. Also, the truth needed to be found out someday. And it was just today... "What you do not know is...I am Jay's 'dad'...Jay, right here, is my heir. The heir to your enemy pack. He came here because I told him." I hated the way he smiled when he said that. Astra looked at me as if waiting for me to deny it. I couldn't. I remained silent. She continued to stare at me and I kept avoiding eye contact. "*sigh* You guys look like you two need some time to talk it out. Okay..." he stood up and started making his way towards the door. "You two," he told the two wolves there, "come with me. And oh right! Convey this message. Do not kill the alpha's family. I can't ignore this. After all, this is a request from my 'dear son'..." Saying this, he left the room with the other two. Astra's pov I felt my consciousness returning to me and I slowly opened my eyes. "Jay.." I called out to him but my voice was barely over a whisper. Two wolves attacked him. I recognized them. Astra's pov The war felt like it had been going on forever. The sight of all those corpses, all the blood, and the number of injured wolves losing blood so rapidly, being rushed to get treated, some still lying around, not being able to walk on their own, not having anyone to assist them made my head spin a little. Astra's pov: I tried to dodge him. He was too quick. All I could do was turn around. Ugh! He got me. Blood gushed down my back. It hurt so bad. Blood! More blood now. It made me nauseous.
