The Transformation

I was surprised how quiet Greyson was as he led me to my father's tent. Granted, I didn't mind the silence--it did give me a chance to think about everything that had happened--but it was still unnerving how he'd changed since I'd stepped out. As we walked through the small path it took to get from my tent to my father's, I was surprised to see just how large the pack truly was. I'd only really gotten a small glimpse of the pack last night during the celebration before Jaxon. I wondered what had happened to him since last night. I wanted to talk to him, wanting to apologize for getting him into trouble. I hadn't meant for things to go that way last night.

I fought not to whimper as I remembered how scared Jaxon had been when Greyson and my father had shown up. I still couldn't come to terms with the hierarchy that had been set in the pack. I wondered if my mom had done me a disservice by separating me from my own kind, raising me as a human girl. If she had so badly
